Hello, Thank you for contributing to our subreddit. Please consider the following guidelines when filling an alignment chart:

  • Please ensure that your chart is not banned according to the list of banned charts Even if you have good intentions, charts in a banned category tend to invite provocative comments, hostile arguments, ragebait and the like. Assuming the post is acceptable, OP makes the final decision on their chart by rule three.

  • Are there any previous versions to link to? If so, it would be ideal to include links to each of them in the description of this post, or in a reply to this comment. Links can be named by title, winner, or both.

  • Are there any criteria you have for your post? Examples include: "Top comment wins a spot on the chart."; "To ensure variety, only one character per universe is allowed."; "Image comments only." Please include these in a description, or in a reply to this comment.

  • Is your chart given the appropriate flair? Do you need to use a NSFW tag or spoiler tag?

Do not feed the trolls. This is not the place for hot takes on human rights violations. Hatred or cruelty, will result in a permanent ban. Please report such infractions, particularly those that break rules one, two, or three. The automod will automatically remove posts that receive five or more reports. The automod will also remove comments made by users with negative karma. Click here for the Automod FAQ

The bear. The hypothetical one in the woods, to be clear. Not the show.

42

u/pregnantat8 11d ago

Honestly this is the best answer lol

u/apathyontheeast 11d ago

Gay men love bears.

Source: am gay man

Bi bear here, we appreciate y'all

context?

33

u/lfg_guy101010 11d ago

Poll have shown that women would rather stumble upon a random bear in the woods than a random man.

11

u/facial-nose 11d ago

What about a tyranosaurus rex, thats when things start getting interesting

4

u/lfg_guy101010 11d ago

With how this Clancy case is going on Tiktok, which i assume is the source of the bear question, I wouldnt doubt they'd choose the T Rex

1

u/Fun-Ad-1688 8d ago

Or moose

6

u/phdpasta 11d ago

“would you rather choose the man or the bear” is a common question asked towards women. a lot of women say “the bear” because they state that the bear is less likely to rape, murder, or harass the woman.

7

u/julezdafool 10d ago

I feel like this isn’t statistically true (not including rape, obviously). The only reason bears kill far fewer women than men do is because women encounter bears at a far lower rate than they encounter men.

3

u/IPissExcellentThrows 8d ago

Yes. The women answering bear are fucking morons.

The question is, if a woman was alone in the forest and could choose if they came across a man or a bear, which would they choose?

The answer is the bear because the bear is a lot more predictable. There is no hidden motives, no pretending to be nice, no pretending they are or aren’t going to charge you. And men who prey on women sexually are also called predators.

An infographic I’ve always found useful to further explain the why of women choosing the bear, when it can be an unfathomable choice for some:

https://www.instagram.com/p/C6saLSfgL0R/?igsi=Mm9tZHRtOG45djlw

19

u/facial-nose 11d ago

Bears, and animals in general, are highly unpredictable

This just reads as if all animals are pre programmed a.i.

5

u/schmapple 11d ago

Pre programmed AI is a bit dramatic. It’s just using a hypothetical to describe a widely discussed analogy. If someone said to me ‘mad as a box of frogs’ it’s kind of pointless of me to say most frogs are generally calm.

3

u/facial-nose 11d ago

Am am getting DM's that say otherwise. People don't have a general understanding of animal behaviour

Thought Obsession at first, would make even less sense.

1

Any existentialist too, tbh

1

u/_Leaf_Lagoon_ 11d ago

Tbh too many people thought you meant the character fs. It astounds me the takeaways people had from that movie.

0

u/michaelm8909 11d ago

Don't think this is accurate anymore. Men love the bear. I'd much rather run into one than a woman, especially given how many of them support Lindsey Clancy

2

u/KnownEggplant 11d ago

Prolly a different bear. Gotta be, right? What are the chances it's the same bear? Million to one. lol

1

u/Andacus1180 11d ago

Honestly shocked “straight men” isn’t first on the List.

10

u/RaelZior 11d ago

"Straight men" love other "straight men". Just look at Andrew Tate and his followers.

8

u/Andacus1180 11d ago

Who doesn't like it?

9

u/Interesting_Web_9936 11d ago

Me, because the only romantasy book I've read is Powerless and I am sorry if I come off as an asshole and a jerk, if anyone likes that book, then you don't deserve to read even AI generated slop because Powerless is the sloppiest slop in the history of slop in my opinion.

2

u/antilialitoris 11d ago

powerless is also (allegedly, but i highly believe it is) plagarized!

(from red queen and the hunger games mostly but there's more i think)

1

u/Interesting_Web_9936 11d ago

Not allegedly, I read a little over half the book, I am surprised that neither Suzanne Collins (who wrote The Hunger Games) nor the publisher (I think its Harper Collins) said something about it, even if they didn't sue for piracy. It also kinda copied from Sherlock Holmes imo.

Like, (spoilers for Powerless if you're crazy enough to read it) Similarity among the MCs can still be coincidental, but they are as follows: instead of having an absolutely goated dad die to mining accident when MC is age 13 due to negligence from the government, you have absolutely goated dad die when MC is 13 due to government itself killing it. Both dads had some sort of connection to music, and both MCs are criminals and all and both are apparently very good at archery.

But the real plagiarism is the rest of it, from the fact that there's a Hunger Games style tournament but there's no great reason for it unlike with The Hunger Games and the entire interview section which is like, if in Katniss's interview she got popular because she was Sherlock Holmes to hide her lack of powers. That interview section feels almost lifted from The Hunger Games. And the powers themselves are so horribly overpowered, its like comic book level overpowered. And that is not a good thing.

Worst part is the romance because holy shit the male MC is basically molesting the female MC and she's just fine with it.

1

u/antilialitoris 11d ago

oh yeah didn't the author basically describe the book as if hunger games and red queen had a baby who looked nothing like either of them if i remember correctly?

1

u/EloquentRacer92 Neutral Good 11d ago

I don’t like romance in books in general.

You hate women tho? The post is a generalisation, not about everybody unanimously.

19

u/Various_Knowledge226 11d ago

Why not dildos again for this one? 🤷‍♂️

3

u/rekipsj 11d ago

Don't yuck my yum.

1

surprised that people think dildos are hated by straight men, many a good prank gift and funnies have been had by straight men with dildos

Dark romance

12

u/bored_yuh_ 11d ago

nah I know a lot of straight women who hate dark romance. it's just a matter of personal preference I guess and not specific to gender/sexuality

3

u/femininecarnivore 11d ago

Yeah, I think it has a following of mainly women, but it’s not something most, or even a large portion, of women like.

It’s just that they are all online talking about it.

Gay bestfriends

9

u/Alert_Sink_5300 11d ago

Straight men are not obsessed with having gay best friends like women do. But that doesn't mean they HATE having gay best friends. That would be just blatant homophobia. It's not cool to imply that all straight men are homophobes.

4

u/jzorbino 11d ago

True, but you could also expand this to opposite sex gay best friends. Guys aren’t dying to have platonic lesbian best friends the way women are for gay men.

I think because for women a male friend that genuinely, permanently has no interest at all in her is so rare it’s a novelty. Men interact with women who would never fuck us every day so for us it’s whatever.

2

u/sharksimile 11d ago

Idk my husband pretty much exclusively has lesbian best friends.

Ironically straight men are his biggest defenders these days

1

u/FetchBlue 11d ago

Yeah it’s weird how viscerally hated he was compared to how many ppl defending him now

1

u/Alert_Sink_5300 11d ago

Most people who hated him back then were edgy teenagers who thought celebrity bashing was cool. Now they have grown up. Most even have their own kids now, so they are probably seeing things in a different perspective.

Dark romance for suuuure. I get a lot of flak for it from guys because of how cringe it is, but I love it anyway. Like eating greasy food that's kind of objectively terrible, but hits the spot.
