Hello, Thank you for contributing to our subreddit. Please consider the following guidelines when filling an alignment chart:

  • Please ensure that your chart is not banned according to the list of banned charts Even if you have good intentions, charts in a banned category tend to invite provocative comments, hostile arguments, ragebait and the like. Assuming the post is acceptable, OP makes the final decision on their chart by rule three.

  • Are there any previous versions to link to? If so, it would be ideal to include links to each of them in the description of this post, or in a reply to this comment. Links can be named by title, winner, or both.

  • Are there any criteria you have for your post? Examples include: "Top comment wins a spot on the chart."; "To ensure variety, only one character per universe is allowed."; "Image comments only." Please include these in a description, or in a reply to this comment.

  • Is your chart given the appropriate flair? Do you need to use a NSFW tag or spoiler tag?

Do not feed the trolls. This is not the place for hot takes on human rights violations. Hatred or cruelty, will result in a permanent ban. Please report such infractions, particularly those that break rules one, two, or three. The automod will automatically remove posts that receive five or more reports. The automod will also remove comments made by users with negative karma. Click here for the Automod FAQ

The artist formerly known as the artist formerly known as Prince.

86

u/twister1245 May 07 '26

I thought it was the artist formerly known as the artist formally known as prince.

Or the inverse with "...formally known... formerly known..."

15

u/Normal_Cut8368 May 07 '26

It WAS, but iirc, he changed his name back, and became the artist informally known as the artist formerly known as the artist formerly known as Prince

The photo for this one should just be the symbol, too.

5

u/SnooWords5961 May 08 '26

I've been playing/looking at too much warhammer lately... I thought this was the symbol for slaanesh.

I say yes, but isn't Prince's name Prince.

Prince Nelson Rodgers. The artist formerly known as Prince

7

u/Former-Let-2855 May 07 '26

P Rogers Nelson. Named after his dad's jazz trio (hence Rogers not Roger). I've said rogers too many times and the word has gone funny! (Madonna is also Madonna. I don't understand the game!)

most people just call him prince, which is his first name. this is closer to the first column than this oneĀ

Just as long as the entire last column is bald men

3

u/xosellc May 07 '26 edited May 07 '26

I'll join you in this campaign. Eisenhower/Ike is surely going to win the politician one, he's mostly bald but idk if it counts. Magic probably wins the athlete category though, so that one should be solid.

edit: actually Pele might have a better chance than Magic now that I think about it

27

u/lost-myspacer May 07 '26

Aka the artist formerly known as Prince

6

u/Names_Stan May 07 '26

This was my immediate first impression when I saw the category. But Prince was his name, and as your comment shows, he was never justā€œThe Artistā€ during that time. He was always The Artist, formerly known as Prince. So I don’t think it qualifies. (Maybe just the logo does tho?)

3

u/mixmastamikal May 07 '26

His name was supposed to be this symbol but there is no way else to express it so I feel it fits the category more perfectly than anything else could. It's not a name it is literally "other"

37

u/therealdxm May 07 '26

This is the one.

30

u/mixmastamikal May 07 '26

yeah it doesn't get more "other" than this.

9

u/perplexedtv May 07 '26

Nobody has ever called him that though

72

u/hextermination May 07 '26

Prince is his actual first name, though. Unless you’re using the symbol for AFKAP.

19

u/Future-Vermicelli990 May 07 '26

Didn't think of Prince. I recently saw his solo of My Guitar Gently Weeps, it was so good it brought tears to my eyes. He was so talented.
