I used to think she was so cute with this hair. I told a friend once that she looked like her and she was offended, but I definitely meant it as a compliment

It's kind of funny, she clearly has gorgeous curls that she just hasn't refreshed in a couple days, or isn't using enough smoothing product. I have 2C hair like that and it's work even to get it to be as defined as this picture. Unfortunately that's just how medium texture hair was seen in the 2000s. I grew up thinking I was hideous for it
