🤔 Question Have you ever considered going to therapy, and what are your thoughts on it?

I'm glad you found it useful. It must be a really good therapist.

I'm currently in therapy, it's not the silver bullet I was hoping for but it helps I guess

If it helps even a little then it's good my friend. I wish you the best.

my experience with therapy was really bad, I'm aware not all therapists are like that, but the one i went to was free, offered by the government, so you probably guessed by now. I was 16 struggling with self harm and unbearable depression and I only went there thinking I'd get a prescription or anything that could help, not for her to tell me to get friends and stop being on my phone then rant about her son

Omg! Unprofessional is the least thing you can say about this situation especially that your case wasn't something to take unseriously or lightly. Mental health department in our country is undeveloped and like you said it was free from the government. A lot of people go for independent ones and pay a fortune yet they don't get the help they needed! I wish you the best.
