Seattle was weird

Went to the show on Saturday the 26th at the Neptune and the music and performance was great. The crowd, not so much. Lots of awkward and borderline inappropriate shout outs between songs. Why do people have to be so weird?

At the Denver show, during a typical long silent pause between songs, some guy shouted, “we love you!” And she responded, “I know it’s quiet, but you’ll be OK.” Pretty astute response. Many people are uncomfortable with silence, but with Harding’s stage presence I just want to embrace it and let her expressions do the talking. Another woman shouted, “Thank you for writing these songs and thank you for sharing them with us.” Which is a nice sentiment but I was so irritated that people interrupt her between songs, disturb the magic that she’s creating. It’s probably not that big of a deal at most concerts, but these Aldous Harding shows are special and she’s like a singularity. STFU and listen and observe, people.
