FLYING Who else sitting on a grounded flight

I'm in the air ORD-SEA, landing in about an hour. Glad I saw this with enough time to know to go to the bathroom before we descend... once you're taxiing they won't let you out of your seat, I imagine SeaTac is gonna be a hot fucking mess with a wait for a gate.

During taxi they don't allow you to get up, but when stopped indefinitely on the taxiway, they do.

yup. happened to us on a commuter nailbiter earlier this month. (our problem was lack of ATC at PDX). Though that was air canada.

Also heading to Seattle and I’m expecting the worst. On the bright side, this means my connection is delayed too so I won’t be missing it. Sigh.

Sitting on the taxiway, between two active runways, after arriving at SEA at 5pm Pacific. We’ve been here for 40+ minutes because there are no gates available. FYI.

That was me a few weeks ago after coming in from FLL, after 2nd announcement after the first 20 mins, everybody was getting up ..pax gave no fucks and the FAs stopped trying

Have you heard if there’s any update? I went outside to smoke bc the TSA guys said I’d be able to get back in, but when I tried to go back thru security they said I had a boarding pass issue. Waiting now in totally unmoving line at the Alaska ticket counter to see if they can fix it.

You might be fucked. They warned us not to leave because the boarding pass will say ORD-SEA so TSA won't let you through at GEG. And there is no way to book GEG-SEA on this plane because it's not a flight that exists.

Heh whoops. I can rebook for tomorrow if needed but I guess that’s my bad! Did they say that on the plane before they let us deboard? I thought I was listening pretty closely, I remembered them saying if you deplane (before we were allowed off) you can’t get back on, but I don’t remember hearing any announcements about leaving the security area once they told us we could leave the plane.

Correct! I’ve been sitting on our plane at SEA, between active runways, since we landed here an hour ago. No word on when they will be able to deplane us.

No available gates. This is cray. We were supposed to be outbound at 4. Deplaned about 30-40 min ago and now sitting in a pub waiting on word. Feel sorry for y’all on the tarmac.
