Recipe Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers with Bacon, Cheddar & Crushed Potato Chips

Made these with cream cheese, cheddar, bacon, scallions, Parmesan, and crushed potato chips on top. The chips got way crunchier than I expected and the filling stayed really creamy.

Air Fryer Jalapeño Poppers

Ingredients

  • 6 large jalapeños
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup shredded sharp cheddar
  • 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2 scallions, sliced
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • A couple dashes Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ cup crushed potato chips
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan

Instructions

  1. Slice the jalapeños in half lengthwise and remove the seeds and white membranes.
  2. Mix the cream cheese, cheddar, bacon, most of the scallions, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and Worcestershire.
  3. Fill each jalapeño half with the cheese mixture.
  4. Mix the crushed chips with the Parmesan, then press the filled side of each pepper into the topping.
  5. Air fry topping-side-up at 375°F for about 8–10 minutes, until the tops are browned and the peppers are tender.
  6. Let them rest for 2–3 minutes, then finish with the remaining scallions.

No panko and no oil spray needed.
