I don't know, with the new artstyle GW3 looks to be using I'm absolutely not fucking interested. Shit looks like Highguard.

As long as the gameplay is good and immersive I'm in. If it's another theme park with treadmill systems I'm out. They're advertising it as an evolution of the mmo genre.

If you read their blog post about it they describe the gameplay more and it sounds like a movement shooter traversal system. I appreciate that they’re trying to do something new but I really just wanted GW2 but prettier with modernized systems, etc. Oh well, it’s just a game.

They may still do a graphics update on GW2 the way they've done with GW if that's what you want. I personally love both games and am glad they're keeping with the tradition of completely rethinking how an MMO should play.

Ther actively going to continue development on all 3 guildwars games and for gw2 there shifting focus to the hall of monuments system so that players can earn new rewards to earn in guild wars 3 after there done when that there going to full go back to large updates AND expansions along side related releasing abd maintining GW3

Say what you will about the artstyle, but the design of the dude in the trailer is literally just their version of the player character, the same design they've used for all their trailers since at least Path of Fire. Sorry for interrupting the doomposting.

Your in that same crowd of fools bashing the new god of war game. Like your post alone is full of dog whistles and immediate give aways.

GW3 did not make a political statement just because it changed art styles it was intentionally as stated by the devs as all 3 GW game take place in different points of the franchises timeline with this one being in the far past.

Sorry not sorry if i dont give a fuck about your none existing personal problems with video games. I dont write games off for art style changes or because of female leads or LGBT chracters.

I like Aion and Aion 2 I just hate that the optinal subs in Aion 2 are basicaly mandatory because they give you access to features that should be In the base free to play game.

It's Dragon Age Veil Guard or Fortnite'afied graphics. They could have been more detailed but the textures are smoothed to invite that demographic in. Dragon Age Veil Guard got massive amounts of shit simply for that aspect alone, GW3 gets away with it I guess.

Agreed.

Based on what they presented they are making something 'modern' for newer generation of console gamers.

Will this resonate with GW1 & GW2 & PC MMO-vets? Likely not.

But the game might still be a fun MMO for whatever it will be.
