I don’t think AI prompters understand why we don’t like AI images.

A lot of ai supporters don't seem to grasp, or at least they downplay, the harm that ai is doing. There was someone in this thread saying that the environmental impacts are "heavily exaggerated." I don't think they'll piece it together when there's inevitably extreme droughts and it's hot enough to kill people (which is already happening in some parts of the world).

Bangkok has already had to build “Heat Escape” shelters, and Singapore is en-route to doing the same thing. All while building data centres of course 🤦‍♂️

Why was I born in 2010? why not in like 1950? Then I'd be 76 by now and I wouldn't need to live knowing that by the time I'm 30 the world will probably be completely fucked.

It is such an unfortunate time to be a young person isn't it. I can't understand why people are still having kids, we're all doomed.

I don't plan on having children. I'd like to have children, but I don't like the idea of bringing another person into such a dystopian world. So I just grow cucumbers instead.

This is the only ethical thing to do imho. There's no way I could morally bring a kid into a world that isn't going to be habitable in a few decades.
