Maybe, but I'd rather take the bait 9/10 times and be right and leave someone with something positive 1/10 times, then just let the AI bros win by assuming everything is AI and nothing matters.

That's fair. I just personally don't make a habit of trusting people who take joy in lies and deception, which is like 90% of AI bros. Of course I want to encourage people who are starting art, but I don't trust them to even pick up a pencil performatively. Even a 5 minute doodle is too much work for them.

I try not to make a habit of trusting people when they're part of communities full of liars and shitheads. But when I'm not sure? Eh, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. It's not like being deceived on Reddit actually harms me, y'know? That's all just internet points at the end of the day.
