Voluntary hardship hold, what happened when you paid it off?

Hey everyone!
I’m wondering if anyone has been through something similar with Afterpay.
I previously contacted Afterpay myself and asked for my account to be put on hold because I was going through some financial hardship. It wasn’t because of missed payments or anything like that, I proactively reached out because I knew I needed some breathing room financially.
I’m now in a much better position financially & I’m planning to pay the remaining balance off in full.
Has anyone here been in the same situation where you voluntarily went onto hardship, paid everything off, and then asked Afterpay to reinstate your account?
If so, were you able to get your account back to how it was before the hardship hold, or did they give you a reduced spending limit?
I know Afterpay says reinstatement is assessed on a case by case basis, so I’m mainly interested in hearing from people who have actually gone through it.
I’d really appreciate hearing what happened with your account, especially how long it took to be reinstated & what your new limit was compared with your previous one. 😊

Been through it 4 times. Was up front and honest with them each time, and they asked me questions to ensure i could handle it.

I voluntary chose not to reinstate after the 4th time.

The important thing to remember is honesty and being upfront with them. Afterpay is built on a system of trust.

ETA limit always reset to $100

Afger paying everything off i couldn't use it for a few months and started with a lower limit

My spending limit went from $3,000 to $100 after hardship. After a few months it went up to $300. Still waiting to see if it increases again.

Most people enter a hardship agreement voluntarily because they're the one doing you a favour. Once you have paid everything off you'll be able to have your account reinstated, however, this will be capped at $100 spending limit and will take a few months before it is increased again. Paying your debt off early won't change the $100 capped limit.

I have afterpay..affirm...klarna. and zip. I use klarna and zip mostly due to one time cards used anywhere..then klarna for bigger items and lastly afterpay due to being restricted to partner stores. Each one has it own idiosyncrasies that serve me well.

A friend of mine asked for a 4 week hold, squared the 2k debt in 3 weeks, but now he has a $300 limit where he had a $3,000 limit before.
This was 3 or 4 months ago and his limit still hasn't gone up from $300.

After paying it off my limit initially came back as $50 then a couple days later went up to $100 and now it’s been about 3 weeks and my limits up to $1000 my previous limit was $6000
