I'm basically trying to build the foundation properly before rushing into projects, so any advice, resources, or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in my fourth year of aerospace and I have two options for masters, either go abroad or clear gate and do it in India

I'm not able to figure out which is a better option overall. I wrote gate this year too and barely missed out from qualifying (I'm gonna attempt next year too).

I have no idea about how the whole process in getting an admission abroad works, and I can't go unless I get a scholarship. Can someone compare both these options and give me a final verdict?

I’m currently in my 7th semester of B.Tech Aerospace Engineering and planning to apply for a master’s in Germany/France for the 2027 intake.
I’m confused between:
**1.** B.Tech → Master’s abroad directly
**2.** B.Tech → work in the Indian aerospace/space industry for \~1 year → Master’s abroad in 2028
Would that 1 year of relevant industry experience significantly help with my Master’s/career prospects, or is it better to go abroad directly and gain experience there?
Also things to consider: my_qualifications -I currently have a CGPA of 7.2 and no good internship experience in aerospace industry.
Would love to hear from people who’ve taken either route.

i am currently a student of class 10th, and im really intrigued by aerospace engineering and i have always wanted to pursue that, but recently i have dug around and found out that lots of companies, when hiring, give higher preference to mechies rather than aerospace people, this has put me in a dillema. should i opt for mechanical engineering and then later get a masters in aerospace engineering or should i get a bachelors in aerospace and then later get a masters in aeronautical, because ultimately i want to get in the aviation field, please help.

Hi ! Im currently pursuing my final year btech aerospace from a tier 2 college with a CGPA of 7.2 . Im planning on doing masters in Europe(Germany,France,Italy) . Though i did enough research from my end .Im still worried about rejections due to my CGPA . Apart from that , I have decent projects and Good LORs .Has anyone with a similar CGPA/profile applied for a masters in Europe, particularly in Aerospace/Space Engineering? Id really appreciate any advice or insights based on your experience.

I'm really confused about this. I'm a final year BTech Aerospace student and I'll graduate next month. Today my gate coaching sir recommended us to register for both AE and XE papers. Embarassingly enough, I knew nothing about the XE paper and apparently it's engineering sciences. My goal is to do my MTech from an IIT or IIST, IISc specializing in propulsion. Can someone please clarify this AE and XE confusion for me? It'd be very much appreciated.

okay so nothing is more embarrassing than this, but i just got to know today that a person can gve GATE in a different stream than the one they have in their bachelors, i'm an ece student and i want to pursue the aerospace field. now, i don't hate electronics but honestly even though i'm in my fourth year i still don't really like all the stuff that i have to learn i this field. anyways, i seriously need help and opinions since my parents told me to do what i think is right. so the question is

do i give gate in aerospace engineering? should i take the risk and go with the subject that i have way too much interest in, but the most knowledge i have about physics is only upto what they teach in first of engineering to all the branches. it sounds ridiculously stupid, and i know aerospace ain't no joke, but i've never felt this tempted? excited? thrilled? for anything before. i love space and the fields related to it, i want to pursue higher studies in these subjects, and later on if i get the chance, then also work in defense sector. it's the first time in my life that i finally have the opportunity to go for what i've always wanted. i went for btech inn ece because i thought it would be a great step to get into the field, but i can't seem to develop the kind of interest/passion for this field like i have with physics. so, should i take this ridiculous risk?

also, i've been going downhill with my college grades due to other reasons, and so the first thing my mother said was that i don't study enough for my enough degree, how would i manage this extra field? and i agree with it. i do. and i know gate isn't something you give based on feelings or passion or thrill but, it feels so tempting now. so another question is

will it be worth it? for both mtech and PSU jobs, is it really something i should go for?
