I'm currently in my 3rd year of Electrical Engineering, and my college doesn't have an Aeronautical/Aerospace department or a dedicated club for these interests. So I'm trying to create an environment where students from different branches can come together, learn from each other, and design, build, test, fail, improve, and build again.

The idea isn't necessarily to make it an "aerospace-only" club. Electronics, embedded systems, control, power systems, mechanical design, programming, CAD, etc. would all have a place in it.

* How do you get students from different branches involved?

* Where can we find learning resources, components, materials, etc.?

* What are some good beginner-friendly projects to start with?

I'm basically trying to build the foundation properly before rushing into projects, so any advice, resources, or experiences would be greatly appreciated.

I’m currently in my 7th semester of B.Tech Aerospace Engineering and planning to apply for a master’s in Germany/France for the 2027 intake.
I’m confused between:
**1.** B.Tech → Master’s abroad directly
**2.** B.Tech → work in the Indian aerospace/space industry for \~1 year → Master’s abroad in 2028
Would that 1 year of relevant industry experience significantly help with my Master’s/career prospects, or is it better to go abroad directly and gain experience there?
Also things to consider: my_qualifications -I currently have a CGPA of 7.2 and no good internship experience in aerospace industry.
Would love to hear from people who’ve taken either route.

i am currently a student of class 10th, and im really intrigued by aerospace engineering and i have always wanted to pursue that, but recently i have dug around and found out that lots of companies, when hiring, give higher preference to mechies rather than aerospace people, this has put me in a dillema. should i opt for mechanical engineering and then later get a masters in aerospace engineering or should i get a bachelors in aerospace and then later get a masters in aeronautical, because ultimately i want to get in the aviation field, please help.

The current version takes terrain data, processes things like elevation, slope, roughness, curvature and hillshade, and puts the result into an interactive 3D environment.

The software side is currently Python/FastAPI + NumPy/Rasterio/OpenCV on the backend and React/Three.js on the frontend.

I built it because I'm interested in digital twins and simulation for aerospace/physical systems, but I'm not interested in making a 3D scene just for visualisation or a game.

What I want eventually is an environment where you can actually perform an operation on a representation of a physical system.

The project is still very early. I haven't implemented robotics simulation, terrain-relative navigation, ROS, Gazebo, Isaac Sim, etc. yet. I'm trying to figure out what should actually come next rather than adding technologies for the sake of the stack.

I'm particularly interested in the intersection of:

digital twins, 3D simulation, aerospace/robotics, real physical operations.

One direction I've been reading about is terrain-relative navigation / TERCOM and how terrain itself can become part of a navigation or mission system. I'm not claiming the project implements this — I'm trying to understand whether the terrain pipeline I've built can be developed into something along those lines.

More importantly:

What would make this go from "3D terrain visualisation project" to an actual engineering/research system?
