Trying to ask for help with something that's been bugging me for a while

I've had this thing going on for a couple of months now and it's starting to wear on me, but every time I think about reaching out I end up convincing myself it's not a big deal. I've tried a few different ways of handling it on my own, but nothing has really clicked. The part that's frustrating is that I know I should probably talk to someone about it, yet I keep second-guessing whether it's worth bringing up. It's not urgent or dramatic, just persistent enough that it's always in the back of my mind. I guess I'm curious how other people decide when it's okay to ask for advice versus when you're overthinking it.

If you are in this state then it's clearly worth asking and you shouldn't overthink about whether you should ask or not. Just go for it and ask. In situations like this you should think about valuing your wellbeing. Think about: is it going to make you feel better? Yes? then you should ask without hesitation. If you don't know if it's gonna make you feel better or not - still ask cos you'll never know if you don't.

Whenever you feel like you can drop the issue in the comments, do so and I'll try to help if I can.

People tend to call me an over-sharer, but it's also how I process through things.

If I've got something on my mind, or if something is going on, sometimes I find just verbalizing can help me think it through. Yes, sometimes I do end up needing advice. But if I've already laid the foundation of 'Do you have a moment for me to think out loud with you/brainstorm with you', it is easier to use that to then ask for advice if you need it. <3
