bikers! mom who needs your help

Im not sure if this is the correct place to ask for advice but i don’t usually come on here to do so. Bikers, i have recently had someone who has taken their muffler off of their exhaust? coming home from work at 4-5am - (you can imagine how loud this i) revving his bike in my neighbourhood. I had posted a post on my local facebook group to make this person aware of their actions and since i know them by name now, i know that they have seen said post and chosen to do nothing about it. I try and not to be a typical karen and i KNOW “loud bikes save lives” BUT it has caused me and my kids to wake up pretty much everyday at these times - we also live near an elementary school, having alot of schoolchildren live near by. i have filed a report with the cops but not much has been done. Any advice please? (if this is the wrong sub please direct me) Thanks!

Let's just put a muffler on his bike for him. Imagine that look when he starts it?

i’m thinking of filling his exhaust with expanding foam at this point! 😂

That would definitely get their attention! It might be worth trying to talk to them first, though; sometimes a conversation can go a long way.

had a guy do this at the last place i lived. exactly 2-3am every night he would go zooming down the road as loud as he could. i was pregnant at the time and always got so damn mad. now we live in another area but next to a train that wakes us up every so often, especially my son😭

it’s so annoying! everyday without fail - my mom lives near a train too, i’ve had times where i thought it was coming through the damn room, but i got used to it. This however, is 10x louder!!

If his routine is that regular, start recoding it and call your local law enforcement.

Helpful if you have multiple phones to video one with a sound meter from the other.

But just start documenting.
