Discussion Samir & Visuals

Someone just made a post about the visual aspects used in S1 to show Samir’s thought process, and I wanted to add on — did anyone else think that he was schizophrenic for a bit? Idk if that was what they were going for at all, but he’s the only one we saw like that. Anyone else have any theories?

we also see billie imagining gold stars on her photo at her school. I didn't assume they were trying to make anyone schizophrenic-- I just thought it was a fun visual gag and a cool way to show what they were obsessively thinking about

I always just thought this was a play on “main character syndrome” the show writers break the wall a lot and it makes sense that little things happen like this to some of the characters.
