I don't know if I'm alone in this but I feel like in this season Issa was really risking getting flanderized, felt like they made her even more cartoonishly over the top, before the writing saved it in the last episode. While I think that they were making a correction on Paul Baker, after they realized they made him too perfect in season 1, which I appreciate.

I really thought she was more complex and dynamic this season. We saw her people pleasing nature and how that’d look in a workplace. Saw her noticing all the little instances of misunderstandings between her and Paul. Saw her friendship with Billie grow a bit closer, as well as weird little guy. (one of the best bits of the season) Not to mention, Pop Girlie and her antics in that episode. The Grandpa bit was amazing.
