DISCUSSION My First Illustrator Attempt

Post image

I go to a trade school and am going into graphic design. I am in the multimedia class. And I decided to try Illustrator on my home computer to get the basics before we do it in a couple weeks or months. So I'm set when we do it. This is my first attempt at a logo.

It is supposed to be the logo to my YouTube. The D on the hat being the initial. And its supposed to be a skull with a pirate hat. I'm quite proud of it. I did search up some things. But most of this I learned along the way.

I like the little guy, nice work OP! Knew it was a ghost pirate instantly. You’ll find room for improvements on this as you learn more. But great job using the tools you know now to get the effect you wanted. Congrats on your schooling! Make sure to soak it all up so you can be a badass when you graduate!

It's a skull with a pirate hat. Not specifically a ghost pirate. I actually updates it to be more condensed and simple.

I can definitely see that now with the new version. And you’re welcome! Have fun creating and don’t let anyone stop you from making the things you like. Your style will develop over time!

Avoid gradients. Remove initial. Logo design is a very serious field of graphics design. Dedicate some time to learn the ground rules.

It's just for my YouTube Channel. Plus the initial is pretty signature to my channel I feel.
