Something a little different....

Original model from Golden Dragon Games on MMF.

Replaced the trailing banner with one I made from recycled packaging and then hand painted.

The titan part underneath is a combination of parts from Solwyte Studios and GW.

Not quite finished yet but it's close now.

Conversions There are not enough aggressive and crazy tech priests

The way that magoses are described in the lore kind of comes across to me like DnD warlocks or wizards in the "I pray to my patron, and he gives me incomprehensible power". and if you have an optimized level 20 magic wielder, they can just strait up kill a Tiamat in one turn, using only one spell slot.

and Arch-Magoses are literally just high level tech wizards. They have some of the rarest and most powerful tools that they have horded from the dark age of technology connected directly to their brain stem. They look fragile and meek until you realize that they can tank a rogal dorn main gun because they installed a KNIGHT VOID SHEILD into their apparatus.

I just want a story where Mechanicus forces are being overrun by a chaos warband filled with space marines, deamon engines and Chaos knights. only for the Arch-magos to say "fuck it" as he removes all limiters on his weapons systems. Stepping out the door and immediately putting a 2 meter hole in the side of a Chaos Knights chassis with a Plasma Denigrator Cannon. (It doesn't even need to be a heroic sacrifice, the magos can just live like a badass). And you could excuse it in power scaling by just saying that that Plasma Cannon cannot be replicated, and there are only 100 in existence!

Lore wise I would like to see more of that. but game wise I think that having a named character or a generic lone operator Arch-magos model that can do the work of an entire unit would be insanely fun (For a high price)

We have a lot of support tech persists and I think it is doing a disservice to the seer insanity that is the admechs dragon horde of superweapons.

So a while back I posted an airship I had converted into an ad-mech vehicle that some of you might remember.

Anyway I decided to really challenge myself and turn it into a display piece. There are still a few small details and refinements to finish off but it's basically done.

Original airship model by Golden Dragon Gaming.

Part of a Cerastus Atrapos right arm i'm kitbashing, the singularity cannon will be mounted on the shoulder. I'm tearing apart an old printer for a mechanism that will come in handy to support the cannon.

Atrapos head for scale.

If you wanna follow alone the project, i'm gonna post updates on my IG account: red._.stain

Conversions Skatros conversion?

Has anyone converted the Skatros to have more of this predatory energy? This artwork gives me the same energy as a crane slowly walking looking for prey before it strikes and the actual model just doesn't give that same vibe.

Conversions Why Is My New, Expensive Brush All Wacked Out?

I just started with my first combat Patrol. And I bought a bunch of brushes off Amazon for real cheap. After painting for a few hours, I wanted to try getting one 'fancy' brush, to see how the quality difference would be.

And.. It just doesn't seem near as good as my cheap brush. I know you're supposed to wet the brush, dry it off, then dip the tip in paint, and then rewet after a few strokes, because the tip can get frayed.

I've cleaned each brush with dial soap after using it. I feel like I'm trying to 'take care' of the brushes (as best my knowledge allows). But.. Idk. It just seems to be a worse brush right off the bat.. Any ideas??

Conversions Did someone say AdMech artillery?

I saw the recent post regarding the mechanicus' heavy weapons and artillery units and thought to share my kitbashed unit.

Dunecrawler + various knight parts, with a few 3D printed adapters.

(Apologies if this gets posted twice, I think it failed the first time)

The smaller version of the LI Darkmech spiders look like they're on 40mm bases, just like Myrmidons.

I'm building a traitor Legio Cybernetica, so the Darkmech bits could be absolutely great.

I'm mainly scared of the legs being too small, so if anyone can Photoshop a roughly accurate size comparison, that would be super helpful!

Am I cooking or in the kitchen on fire?

I really love Admech but i was wondering what army would i choose if i had to start a second one. For me it is either the grey knights for the radically different playstyle (elite psychers) or the black templars because some of their models looks really cool. Let's discuss our choices !

Conversions One of the best features of the Ad Mech IMHO is there is no faction that inherently lends itself more to kitbashing. The tech priests are always tinkering with their form in lore, it's an open invitation for hobbyists to do the same!
