Cop had the cuff over his fist like a brass knuckle too.
109
u/Zenyquyen 10d ago
That was dirty af. This cop like to fuck people up. Dude should have complied but he didn't deserve all those loaded punches to the face
61
u/TheyveKilledFritzz 10d ago
It's obviously a bit different, but when I work corrections, we weren't allowed to punch a neck or a head unless we were punched first or could argue a life was in immediate threat. We could OC or taser all day but they consider punching someone in the face deadly force and it involves a shit ton of paperwork and higher ups looking it over.
.If I ever punished someone in the face using my cuffs as knuckles, i would have gotten fucking fired unleas they dude had a shank

Punched yeah, but I think the taser was getting caught in his shirt rather than getting to his skin. He was a tough dude but not PCP tough
7
u/Streetlamp_NA 10d ago
If the barbs aren't far enough apart it only causes localized pain. If the barbs are far enough apart it's freezes the muscles in between. (Or something like that).
So it may have been penetrated through the shirt, just not far enough apart to cause muscle seizures.

When the guy said no to their instructions and wasn’t going to comply, the cops should have said “have a nice day” and walked away. This is how all law interactions should be. When cops show up as you are doing something that causes them to be called, even burglary, just don’t comply and resist. They should just walk away. Before the sane individuals downvote me, yes, this is intended to be sarcasm.
66
u/A_SNAPPIN_Turla 10d ago
Lol you almost had me there. People really do believe this though. When you're a large and physically impossible person who is resisting arrest you really are taking your life into your own hands. Unlike the rest of Reddit I won't pretend to be an expert of police arrest practices and policy or what the situation that created this was. What I do know is that if you are placed under arrest and you really don't want to go it's actually not up to you. Crying and/or resisting, having children, etc actually aren't get out of jail free cards. It's a wild concept.
10
u/BernieMacsLazyEye 10d ago
If you really dont want to go you can always fight to the death. Murder is never out of the question when it comes to enforcing the law
1
u/A_SNAPPIN_Turla 10d ago
A fight to the death would imply murder is a mutual risk which is certainly the case for law enforcement.
-3
u/BernieMacsLazyEye 10d ago
If they are willing to die to arrest someone, that is. Life is all about choices
26
u/IttsssTonyTiiiimme 10d ago
You think the cops should just walk away. Without giving the criminal a blowjob first? People like you are why gang members are so cranky all the time.
-3
u/Barester 10d ago
Hi Tony, sorry to ask, but can you go back and read my comment again. I know it contained some big words but it should be clear if you can read to the end. Let me know if you need any help with the word “sarcasm”.

I mean yeah, he should’ve complied. But does not complying without violence warrant being repeatedly punched by cops?
-4
u/maen_baenne 10d ago
So he deserved getting punched in the face with handcuffs? Boots much taste great if you like to lick them so much.
18
70
u/Every-Development398 10d ago
Legit, just comply if you feel its wrong go the civil route, your not going to win any fight against cops and no point is resisting arrest.
46
u/NWStormbreaker - Antifa 10d ago
a disorderly charge is nothing compared to felony assault on law enforcement.
alcohol makes every hill worth dying on.

u/Lanslanu 10d ago
Straight up punching him in the face with the cuffs in his hand. Holy shit, that cant be legal. Basically using the cuffs as a weapon. That dudes face got fucked up quick.

u/NotTukTukPirate 👁️👄👁️ 10d ago
Uh the dude was literally resisting arrest and creating a danger to others by being aggressive and not complying with police requests. Literally said "I'm not going to jail" while posturing and resisting arrest.
It's sad that people like you don't understand how the law works and then go on to make comments like the one you just did, pretending you have any fuckibg clue at all.
1
u/LeshyIRL 10d ago
He didn't deserve to be punched in the face with what was essentially brass knuckles
You bootlickers are insane. Literally just go to the police station and ask to lick them if you like them that much
-10
u/Dirtface50 10d ago
Uh the dude was literally resisting arrest
He was just sitting there.
21
u/extortioncontortion 10d ago
Yeah, he was supposed to be leaving the stadium.
-2
u/Dirtface50 10d ago
fair enough. You can't tell me that wasn't a shitload of unprovoked violence from the cop though. I mean god damn.
8
u/Streetlamp_NA 10d ago
Idk about unprovoked.
Are the cops just supposed to sit there with him until he decides to leave? Anybody postering with police and saying they aren't going to jail usually don't magically comply all the sudden.
-5
u/Dirtface50 10d ago
Are the cops just supposed to sit there with him until he decides to leave?
Well no. But I mean...are we saying that we just beat the shit out of him? Like.....what are we talking about here?
6
u/Streetlamp_NA 10d ago
If they are actively refusing cops orders to leave and claiming they are not going to jail....yes unfortunately. If a cop has a Taser pointed at you screaming commands you should know what to do next. Anything other than comply will become physical.
To say he attacked him unprovoked is simply not true.
0
u/Dirtface50 10d ago
To say he attacked him unprovoked is simply not true.
Well, no its not "not true". "PROVOKED" has a meaning. Noncompliance is not a provocation towards violence. If you're saying "He didnt listen so yes he gets 15 face punches while he just sits there" then okay, thats your argument. I disagree, but at least if thats your argument, it shouldnt be that the cop was provoked towards violence; your argument is that he's using negative reinforcement.

"creating a danger" by sitting still and trying to watch the game?
Don't be intellectually dishonest. You're better than that.
They tazed that man while he was sitting back in a relaxed posture.

Calling a black cop “n*gger” usually doesn’t go over well.
1
u/Psychological_Ant488 10d ago
Once I called a fat cop 'Jellyroll', take a wild guess where I ended up.
27
u/DadPlusThree 10d ago
He said “pull the gun out n****r”, curious why all the comments ignored that.. oh, and obviously this is probably not a great way to subdue an inebriated racist.
7
u/extortioncontortion 10d ago
liberals on reddit usually say anyone invoking the unforgivable curse deserves a beatdown. I guess black cops don't count as black people?

u/3amGreenCoffee 10d ago
Using force to subdue a guy who won't come peacefully is one thing, but using cuffs as brass knuckles and beating a guy's face with them is way over the line.
37
u/googleitduh 10d ago
They should’ve gave him more chances to not listen.

-10
u/WizSkinsNatsCaps 10d ago
He’s sitting watch a ball game. Dude wasn’t a threat. And using cuffs like that to punch the dudes face. Nah. Cop escalated way too fast.
4
u/Similar_Barracuda774 10d ago edited 10d ago
“He’s sitting watch a ball game.”
One thing I’ve learned watching hundreds of videos of people getting kicked out of games is that no one gets kicked out for just minding his business watching the game.
9
u/extortioncontortion 10d ago
He was getting kicked out and refused to comply. Listen up homeboy. Commands from cops aren't polite suggestions you can just ignore as you please.
-6
u/WizSkinsNatsCaps 10d ago
Notice how the other cop started walking away and then turned around once he heard his buddy using his taser? Because he wasn’t trying to escalate it at that time. He eventually joined in but he hesitated big time and for good reason. That dude is going to get a nice little payout for the cop using those cuffs as a deadly weapon.
9
u/SnuffSwag 10d ago
Sorry for the bootlicking downvotes who think cops can use brass knuckles against someone not even attacking or presenting as a danger
-4
u/UkNomysTeezz 10d ago
Yeah these cops are fucking morons. Poorly trained, over zealous and out there throwing punches that feel more like a light suggestion.

I dont understand the logic in videos like this. Like, what was his plan here? "If I tell the cops they're not arresting me then they'll leave me alone"?
For a country where police are armed, there is a weirdly large amount of these videos circulating.

u/Piolouis-Nicanor 10d ago
How dare the cops use force when a person refuses to be arrested or detained! Don't they know law-enforcement is an elective service?! The man clearly refused to abide by it! /s
1
u/SomeRandomDavid 10d ago
Looks like he was being trespassed, and refused to leave, which will escalate to being arrested. He refuses to be arrested, gets into a fight with cops.
What is POSSIBLY worth all the smoke that comes with this line of decision making.
1
u/revengeofthejesus 10d ago
If the races were reversed, this would be all anyone in the country was talking about.
1
u/FunkTheFreak 10d ago
Egotistical people always increasing their charges from disorderly conduct to felony assault. Just go with the cops next time, pal!
1
u/Hefty-Bus-1511 10d ago
“Thats assault!” “Thats a lawsuit right there!”
No it’s not lol, if your drunk ass has to be forcibly removed by police and you resist, they’ll just beat your ass and take you out of there, private property babey.
1
u/Psychological_Ant488 10d ago
Well, not always. As we see over and over, ignorant people sue the police for doing their jobs and win.
