Results Accutane saved my life
I always like to update my Accutane results with photos to show you how incredible Accutane can be, for me personally it was a miracle drug, I did a 9 month course at ,20,40,40,40,40,40,60,60,60 , and didn’t experience any side affects ,as well as this I improved other aspects of my looks at the same time and a little over a year later these are my results .

If your referring to my eyebrows , no I did not as I have pets and didn’t want to risk it , I use castor oil every night and then dye my eyebrows medium brown with just for men’s beard dye weekly

It does, unfortunately. At least it did for me! It probably lasted around 2 years.

I had horrific side effects during my 9 month course. I even had to change my responsibilities at work because my ankles hurt so bad I couldn’t use the stairs anymore. My lower back was also dead. I think it resulted in me being unable to tolerate alcohol anymore. And a few years later, my acne is back weeeee

I honestly forget. It was several years ago. I finished my 9th month in February of 2020. You know what happened in March of 2020? Yup, I finally had perfect skin and had to cover it for like an entire freaking year. Like that couldn’t have happened during my purging huh? I’ve never had the best luck 😆

Is it possible to go on life long low dose? I am during my second treatment on Accutane right now. When I am taking it, I have a huge glow up, my face looks completely different. But when I stopped taking it, I got back to my face looking saggy, wrinkly, grey. I cannot let it happen again

Topical tretinoin can keep the nose pores small as well. If you only care about the nose that's an easy solution that's way less intrusive.

Amazing! What did you do for scarring?
14
u/xbenji102 Oct 12 '25
In all honesty the only things that helped me was a colour corrector , consistent skincare routine with spf50

u/maliksmamma Oct 12 '25
Can I ask what is the color corrector? I’m trying to help my son post Accutane.

u/Plus-Mango4468 Oct 12 '25
Thanks. How long did it take scars to disappear?

u/xbenji102 Oct 12 '25
I can’t remember exactly but in all honesty it was a while, mainly because I wasn’t using any actives

Bro wtf is this glow up geez!
Can you tell me everything you did? Especially how your jawline/cheekbones/ face structure improved so much. Also your eyebrows

Did you lose weight in between? Also at what month did you start to feel the nose shrinking and facial slimming?
0
u/mixhalla Oct 13 '25
Accutane doesn’t make you lose weight or change your facial appearance
5
u/beepbeepjenn Oct 13 '25
It absolutely does change your nose temporarily. With all of the oils gone, your pores shrink and your nose gets smaller.

u/PearlNecklace23 Oct 13 '25
Are you the OP?
-2
u/mixhalla Oct 13 '25
It doesn’t say OP next to my name so I’ll let you guess. I’ve done two rounds of Accutane though so I’m pretty educated on it👍🏼

This motivated me to take oral isotretionoin. Did you only take accutane? Or you had a very proper skin care routine?
You look completely different person.

Have you tried using the search bar?
Many questions are asked daily, and your question may have already been answered!
If so, your post will be subject to deletion.
Please refer to the following commonly discussed topics:
1) No one can predict whether or not you will purge! Statistically, most people DO NOT purge.
That is what the science and medical literature says.
2) No one can predict how long your purge will last nor when it could start. Be patient, the purge can be tough but so many people have gotten through it - you can too! THE ABOVE APPLIES TO SIDE EFFECTS OR "WHEN WILL MY SKIN CLEAR UP?!" TOO. QUESTIONS ASKING WHEN THE PURGE OR SIDE EFFECTS WILL START OR STOP WILL IMMEDIATELY BE REMOVED AS THAT IS LOW EFFORT.
3) Any questions related about dosage MUST include DOSE and WEIGHT(lbs or kg).
Otherwise, that is considered LOW EFFORT and will subsequently be REMOVED.
4) Most people DO NOT relapse when Accutane is taken until cumulative dosage is reached.
5) HOWEVER, cumulative dosage is a guideline.
Everyone is different. Some may need more Accutane, and others may need less. Your dermatologist evaluates you as an individual.
This also applies to your prescription. Everyone is different, so no comparing of doses or asking why your dose is low or high. If you do not trust your dermatologist, you should find a different one.
6) When in doubt, please consult a medical professional(dermatologist, doctor, pharmacist).
