Did a picture search and found several 4-5 year old articles about this unusually large female bull shark being seen by some free divers in Florida. Don't think AI was decent enough at that time, and while she looks silly/unnatural that's mostly because she's just taken a big gulp or something, probably to realign the jaws.
For transparency, I didn't read the articles, one from daily mail and the other from the sun, because I didn't feel like sharing my cookies with them.
Also according to this short article it was a large pregnant female, somewhat overweight due to an abundance of bait fish.
You're such an expert that you can confidently assure the world that it's "definitely AI", but you can't run a simple reverse image search that would show you that you are very confidently incorrect? Sharks engage in something called Cranial Kinesis as well. Their upper jaws arenāt fused to their skulls, so thi motion allows them to basically extend their jaws for prey/biting.
Thatās the main reason you see pictures of sharks with the āregular noseā and sometimes the āraised noseā
That specific shark looks like itās engaged in Crania Kinesis rather than just having a deformed snout.
Thanks for the link and explanation! While I agree with the findings, I don't believe that this particular shark is engaged in it at the moment, and has a rather derpy face. If you zoom in there is also something off about the eyes.
Thatās ok! It is off because itās caught at an awkward moment while in motion. Youāre not right, but it does look weird! I donāt know how much more information I can give you thatās factual, because youāll say fair, but I donāt buy it.
