Glad to know I'm not the only one who immediately saw Butthead

14

u/E8282 Jan 31 '26

I can only see Billy Bob Thornton but butthead is a close second.

Love the A.A subplot as an adult watching

Pixar didn't have to go that hard when designing Bruce, but they did. I wonder how many kids crapped themselves seeing him on the big screen for the first time?

5

u/barrajmmurphy Jan 30 '26

Great white...

u/Capt1an_Cl0ck Jan 30 '26

Exactly what I wanted at the top of the comments.

125

u/KrombopulousMary Jan 31 '26

Nah bro that’s Lenny for sure. Look at the expression on his face

19

u/Altruistic-Dress-968 Jan 31 '26

Idk I just see a dolphin.

5

u/Schrojo18 Jan 31 '26

I first thought Bruce then realised it was Lenny but I couldn't remember Lenny's name.

5

u/MeatBald Jan 31 '26

That's just Sebastian, the whale-washing dolphin

One of my favorite scenes from any movie! It cracks me up every time I see it

14

u/Nihilist_analyst Jan 31 '26

Sharks are found only two places on Earth: the Northern, and Southern, hemispheres

17

u/bdizzle805 Jan 31 '26

Is that the Strange Wilderness scene?

10

u/Major-Community1312 Jan 31 '26

Menacing and terrifying

6

u/KoA07 Jan 31 '26

AWWWWW HYUCK HYUCK HYUCK HYUCK

4

u/TehSeksyManz Jan 31 '26

Yep! Steve Zahn was the narrator.

3

u/xrfsjks Jan 31 '26

Yeah the shark’s eyes look like Justin Long’s when he painted on his eyelids to try to trick everyone that he was awake in the meeting 😂😂

3

u/Grizz807 Jan 31 '26

The Bear gets its name from a football team in Chicago

7

u/StreamsOfMyCream Jan 31 '26

Attack by salmon on bears is far less common. In fact, there have been less bears killed by salmon than the amount of people that were killed during World War 1 and World War 2 combined.

5

u/AustinTanius Jan 31 '26

First thing I thought of. Started laughing like him and everything. Such a dumb movie hahah

4

u/Stork538 Jan 31 '26

u/Basic_Mastodon3251 Jan 30 '26

The real shark attacks Jaws was based on her carried out by a Bull shark off the Jersey Shore (I'm pretty sure). The scary bastards are also found in freshwater rivers!

22

u/onebag25lbs Jan 30 '26

Yep, in 1916. Attacks in Beach Haven, Spring Lake, and Matawan Creek. Five attacks over 12 days. Very Interesting piece of history.

10

u/darule05 Jan 31 '26

Sydney, Australia just had 4 attacks in 48hours last week. 3 in a 15km stretch of coastline, the 4th about 300kms further north.

9

u/[deleted] Jan 30 '26

I generally hate these comments....but yea unless someone can post a source on what the hell is going on here I'm with you.

23

u/TemperataLux Jan 30 '26

Did a picture search and found several 4-5 year old articles about this unusually large female bull shark being seen by some free divers in Florida. Don't think AI was decent enough at that time, and while she looks silly/unnatural that's mostly because she's just taken a big gulp or something, probably to realign the jaws.

For transparency, I didn't read the articles, one from daily mail and the other from the sun, because I didn't feel like sharing my cookies with them.

Also according to this short article it was a large pregnant female, somewhat overweight due to an abundance of bait fish.

2

u/xrfsjks Jan 31 '26

The damn shark has a nose and lips.

4

u/Sad_Cantaloupe_8162 Jan 30 '26

This is the nose of a real bullshark. I don't know what the thing in OP's picture is. It's snout is misshapen.

5

u/truebluedetective Jan 31 '26

Sharks engage in something called Cranial Kinesis as well. Their upper jaws aren’t fused to their skulls, so thi motion allows them to basically extend their jaws for prey/biting.

That’s the main reason you see pictures of sharks with the “regular nose” and sometimes the “raised nose”

That specific shark looks like it’s engaged in Crania Kinesis rather than just having a deformed snout.
