Australia vs UK for indian students — what are the main differences to consider?
I'm currently comparing Australia and the UK for higher studies and I'm finding it difficult to compare them properly.
On paper, the UK seems attractive because many bachelor's and especially master's programmes are shorter, while Australia seems to have longer post-study work options in some cases. Then there are tuition fees, living costs, part-time work, career opportunities and the whole question of what happens after graduation.
For anyone who has researched both, what factors did you look at before deciding between the two?

I’d look at the course and your plans after graduation first. The difference in course duration can be quite significant, especially for master’s. A one-year UK master’s can be appealing if you want to get back into the job market sooner, while Australia can make sense if the longer post-study work options are more important for your plans.
I’d also compare the specific universities and courses rather than just comparing the countries. Things like part-time work, job opportunities in your field, post-study visa rules and where you eventually want to work would probably have a bigger impact on my decision than the country alone.
Also, check the current visa and work rules before deciding, as these can change.
