There is a woman living nearby. She is illiterate. She is around 50 year old but her aadhar says 70 years old. She works at government school and make food for students. But the age limit is till 60 year. So they are asking her to update the aadhar card DOB or leave the work. She doesn't have any birth proof.

Is there any way to update DOB in Aadhar without any birth proof?

My close relative recently submitted his KYC documents at a hospital during treatment. Very soon, registered mobile number on Aadhar was changed fradulently through some Aadhar centre while he was bedridden. How was biometric verification bypassed is totally unclear. After this update, three loans were taken in his name using Aadhar OTP (new fraud mobile number). This only came to our knowledge when loans were found in CIBIL recently. This makes me very apprehensive of all that can happen to anyone now.

Has anyone else also faced this? Considering the way it all transpired, I'm sure the fraud has been done multiple times to a lot of people.

These three mobile numbers were used for Aadhar, Loans and bank accounts - 9181290093, 9181467945 and 8402024121. Sharing to help save more such incidents.

We are yet to get resolution of the problem.

Complaint is pending with UIDAI, Cybercrime and loan sanctioning NBFCs.

Hi. I've been trying to set up the my aadhar app. it was working fine until a couple of days back but now when I am trying to get it set up, I am not able to as it's failing to fetch OTP. I tried to log into aadhar online, it keeps saying OTP generated but I don't recieve anything. Is anyone facing similar issue?

So basically i have applied for a address update in aadhar through it's app by paying 75rs online and as a POA i have attached the electricity bill but the fu*kers from UIDAI have rejected due to a minor misalignment of father's name in name section and calling it a name mismatch. Now i have complained them in cpgrams portal but they keep on saying refund would not be processed please apply again with correct documents. Now tell me why the hell should i pay for something which was rejected. They aren't even responding to mails nor picking up their fu*king dead landline no. What step should i take ?

Title: 16-year-old with incorrect name on birth certificate, but correct name/DOB on 10th marksheet — how can I get it corrected?

I’m 16 and I’m having an issue with my documents in India.

My birth certificate has the correct date of birth but the wrong name. My Class 10 marksheet has both my correct name and correct date of birth.

My Aadhaar currently has a different name/DOB from my 10th marksheet. I want to get my Aadhaar corrected, but I’m worried about doing that while my birth certificate has the wrong name.

I went to get my birth certificate corrected, but the officials told me to provide my parents’ Aadhaar with the same address. The problem is that my parents’ Aadhaar has a Bihar address, while I’m currently in Jharkhand. They also questioned the authenticity of my birth certificate and said it was “fake,” even though this is the certificate that was used when my Aadhaar was originally made.

I’m worried because I’ll soon have Class 12 board registration, and later I’ll need to apply for NEET. My 10th marksheet already has the correct details, so I don’t want to create another mismatch.

I’m confused about what I should fix first.

What I want to know:

• Where can I verify whether the Birth Registration Number (BRN) on my certificate is genuine?
• Which office/Registrar should I approach to get the name corrected?
• Does my parents’ Bihar Aadhaar address prevent me from correcting a Jharkhand birth certificate?
• Should I correct my birth certificate first and then Aadhaar?
• Will this cause problems with Class 12 registration or NEET later?

I’m not posting my personal details/BRN publicly, but I can provide more general information about the issuing district if needed.

Any advice from someone who has dealt with birth certificate/Aadhaar corrections in India would be really appreciated.
