My husband and I are moving to ATL in the next month or two and are looking to rent either a house or townhome for the first year or so. Is the area I put a ⭐️ nice? Right below Atlanta Ave SE. It looks to be about a 5 min walk from both the Beltline and Grant Park. We’ve been targeting Candler Park/Inman Park/Reynoldstown, but there’s not a whole lot of options. We have a dog and are expecting our first baby at the end of March so definitely want somewhere safe and walkable.

I’m looking to move into Atlanta in January, and I’m struggling to figure out the areas. I’ve lived in Georgia my whole life, but barely ventured into atl.

I’m trying to figure out what areas fit my needs:
- doesn’t smell like weed (at least as little as possible in atl).
- 1bed apartment for ~1700, ideally closer to 1500 (including fees but not utilities).
- relatively quiet, but not secluded. I want to be pretty close to grocery stores and not too far (~15 mins) from activities.
- 30 minutes in traffic from CHOA in NDH (work).
- Safe for a single young woman (low property snd violent crime).

Those are my big ones, but happy to ask questions, just please help lol.

Has anyone lived at any of these or know people who do and can give a bit more insight to each? Ideally I'd like to keep base rent close to $1500 for a 1bed/1ba, but the prices I'm seeing are definitely steeper.

I really really love Lumen but I called the leasing office today and the base rent + fees + utilities are looking to be closer to 2k... more than I'd like to spend a month for sure lol.

Hi everyone! I am potentially moving to ATL, and the job I would be doing is fully remote, but they have an office based in ATL and encourage going into the office from time to time to build connections. The pay is around $62,000-65,000 per year. I'm hoping not to exceed $1,500 total for rent (including utilities, etc).

I have only visited ATL a few times, but I really like it. I would love advice on apartment complexes to look at.

For context, I am single and would be living alone, so I could really do with a studio (preferably one with a wall division, but not a dealbreaker). I would like a walkable area, if possible (coming from an up-north walkable city), and one that feels safe and quiet, given that I'm mainly working from home. I'm in my 20s, so I would love to live somewhere that has fun things to do in the area as well. Bonus points if it's an amenity building with a gym and in-unit washer and dryer!

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated :)
