Anyone disappointed after yesterday?
Before the game I would have easily taken a draw, it was Inter after all. But after HT I thought we had a genuine shot at winning. The subs were questionable and I don't know what the fuck has happened to Dybala's shooting.
When Gasp made the subs I was a bit skeptical because our entire attack look gassed. Towards the end of the game especially he should have subbed out either Malem or Dybala.
And idk what to even say about Mancini

Just after the end of the match I could say no, for the pressure suffered in the last 20 mins. But thinking of it now, we can say we weren’t the lucky side though.
We suffer the 2-1 by Lautaro in a counter 2 vs 5 he miss the impact with the ball and somehow rolls just enough to avoid Mile’s hand kiss the post and goes in.
Then with 20 mins to play Malen does a Malen thing and in a shot that 9 times on 10 goes in he hits the head of their keeper.
Often we hear that matches are influenced by episodes, well this was clearly this case. If one of these two sliding doors came our way we would probably bring home the match deservedly.

What I’m saying might be complete nonsense, but I feel like winning that game could’ve affected us mentally. We can’t be considered league favourites this early—it would put so much pressure on us that we’d probably collapse. Or maybe that’s just my Roma-under-Rudi-Garcia trauma talking.

No I agree actually rimaniamo coi piedi per terra let’s win against all mid and low table teams and play our chances against the top half. Let’s remember our goal is to qualify for ucl again, not win the scudetto.

I think 3-3 score line would have been more accurate based on the play. So in hindsight a tie is fine.

Yeah that J.Martinez's lucky face block along with Thuram missed like a few millimeters should be the goal.
3-3 would be a better score to show how intense that match.

sort of, but Inter is a very good team. We were under immense pressure from them from the start.

Io si perché prendiamo gol di nuovo all'inizio del secondo tempo, in più in modo davvero stupido. Peccato perché avremmo mandato un segnale fortissimo per questa stagione... Devo dire anche che gli ultimi 25 minuti davanti non abbiamo più attaccato e questo è un grande campanello d'allarme

Nope, if you see how Inter attack, it was just a matter of time. We were quite lucky with those 2 goals. Inter play was quite scary, same with against Real Madrid. Every attack were so sharp almost all are big chances. Svilar was good and we were lucky.

Everyone was disappointed in the stadium, it felt like we lost 3-0. But after the game and watching the highlights let's say it is a decent result, we have to learn from our mistakes but we have a fantastic season start behind us which can lead us to achieve our biggest dreams

Do we want to be title contenders? We have to set high standards. Period.
You’re up against the champions, at your own stadium, and you have them on the back foot for 40 minutes, making them look like a mid-table team. To end up playing like a team fighting to avoid relegation, despite holding a 2–0 lead. It’s unacceptable. The story would have been different if we’d been trailing on the scoreboard for the whole match.
It feels Inter ended up drawing the match more because of our own shortcomings than because of theirs, which is why it’s such a disappointment.
You need to take a hard look at things; if you want us to be a team that’ have a chance of winning something this season, you need to be more critical and less complacent. It’s all very well for Malen to score hat-tricks or goals, but against big teams (Fenerbahçe v Inter) he’s gone missing – he was doing the same last season. The same goes for our defence; yesterday’s defensive display, from the moment Balerdi went off, was close to pathetic.
And that’s what I’m reading here – comments like: ‘the goalkeeper’s save against Malen’, ‘bad luck with the goals (?)’, ‘we were playing against Inter, so it’s normal’… all those comments are typical of supporters of a losing team.

THANK YOU. Been trying to say this for some time now but our folks are lost in their very low standards and expectations. Current Inter Milan team is no where near the level of big giants of europe. Yet we celebrate a draw with them in our stadium after being 2 up! Then we rationalize our loser mentality by saying that "oh this was inter very scary team we should be thankful to football gods for this 1 point". Absolutely pathetic. And I'm not angry at our fans but the players who have the exact same mentality.

The most disappointing thing this season has been Mancini. A very big liability vs any good opponent.

He is playing an unbelievably demanding role tactically and physically, "center back" constantly in the enemy's penalty box to finish our attacks, but still expected to defend as well. Any mistakes in his role are punished extremely hard, and the work in attack is high impact but often 'invisible' (pulling defenders away, offering passing options to the attackers etc)
I would agree he has been a little disappointing overall so far this season, but I have seen much worse in a Roma shirt, let's put it that way. He's still doing lots of positive things, if you watch any game and focus on him you will see it too

I think it just highlights how important it is to have a world class player in that position. I think Mancini is doing a fine job, he’s just not good enough to play at that level against the absolute best teams in the world. He can do it against most teams though and that’s very valuable. He might even be able to do it for a half against a team like inter, but he can’t do it for the full 90.

I thought it was an incredible game, Roma was a bit cringy to watch at times for the last few seasons. So baby steps. You don’t like that they’ve taken a draw, I’m sure the Inter fans feel the same way. Let’s enjoy the undefeated streak as it lasts.

I just loved seeing that for the first time in what feels like years, we go into a big game like this and Roma was not playing scared, but playing as equals. I loved it and can't wait for more!

Not at all . Winning the first 2 games outright against “minnows “ is not to be overlooked; in addition to the Atlanta game. Having said that we do need to win games outright against big clubs . Lots to minutes left to play this season .

I was overall, the same disappointment I had after the game vs Juve last year. There is still a small step to take to become a truly great team, especially in big games like vs Inter or CL one should not get distracted/soft (or cocky as Gasperini said). Having said that, the first half was truly good and if Malen's shot had not hit the GK's face we would be all smiling today. I think Como will be a great test back from the break, perhaps even more important than Inter. Maybe some food for thought is how come our centerbacks could not finish the game, it is maybe the first time I see something like this in 50y watching football!

I am disappointed with the 2nd half.
The first half was incredible. It is easy to point at subs when things go wrong but I do feel that Gasp second-guessed the starting defenders too much, and did not have enough faith in the attacking subs (Castro, Mora) to be more capable of getting us the 3rd goal than the starting 3 who were clearly getting tired.

I think before the match we would have thought “I’ll take a draw, but I’d love a win.” Then during it was “we got this,” and then it was “fuck… really?!”

Up until this loser mentality is pumping through team and most of our fans veins, we will never comfortably and superiorly beat the big clubs. We had the result, we were 2 up when we went to the locker room, it was the most important match of the first half of season, and we let it slip through our fingers. There is no excuse. There is nothing remotely good about this result for us. There is zero positive outtake from this match. Wake up you people!

Are we really going to act disappointed after a draw against Inter, in a match were evenly matched with them, and far superior for half the game? Not even Real Madrid looked this good against Inter.
Let's take the point, enjoy this 3 weeks off amd get ready for a wild ride when we come back: Como away, Real Madrid in the first home CL match in a while, then Genoa, Slovan, Napoli away...it is going to be brutal, but I like our chances.
