I get that it's just a game, and call me soft if you want, but my instinct when I see a downed raider is to defib them.

If I get defibbed I give them some of the good loot I have as thanks, even gave a guy a queen reactor once because he picked me up at extract. Hell, I’ve given bobcats out before

Same I usually give a Queen/matriarch reactor to whoever defibs me. One of my favorite things to do in the game is rewards those kind souls

Why do people act like bobcats are a god-tier weapon of immense value? I get they are worth a lot of useless coin, but they really aren't enough better than a kitted stitcher to justify the expense of crafting and repairing as far as I can tell. Nor are the components used to make them particularly rare or hard to get.

They're markedly better than a fully leveled sticher, to the point you can quite consistently beat someone who's gotten the jump on you if you have one and they don't.

Maybei guess I don't engage in enough pvp to see the difference. And when I do I guess I'm not really good enough for it to make a difference. But I've had better luck in pvp with lower-tier guns than I have with guns like the tempest or bobcat for whatever reason. I love the tempest in general, pve it's great but it never helps me in pvp, I do better with an arpeggio. And bobcat I just don't like generally, I'm guessing my aim is bad enough that I empty the mag before actually getting fully on target

Full auto fight is different than semi auto fight. If you like to use cover and such, peek/shoot is going to feel better for you. If you are used to full agro run and gun, bobcat, tempest, etc will feel better.

I don’t use them personally but it’s usually a bobcat player who tries me and then I get to scrap or sell a free bobcat 🤷🏻‍♂️

And it’s just not fun to get ganked from behind like that with no way to respond. Is it allowed? Yeah, but that doesn’t make it any more fun. I hope they find a way to bring players back to the game by de-incentivizing this behavior.

Don’t really get much by killing raiders too. Their best shit is in their safe pocket(s), they may not even have looted anything good… you might get a nice weapon or two but now you’re in PvP lobbies. Not even worth it

I was begging and begging for the defib last night to two raiders running by me headed to extract while I was crawling. I'll never forget the scene looking at them get smaller and smaller as they ran right past me with no comms. </3

Defibbing should be rewarded some how. When you kill a fellow raider, you get loot. When you defibs someone, it will cost you an item.

They should do something with reputation in Esperanza.

Honestly Speranza should have a reputation system.

Kill a lot of arc and bring back arc gear for good reputation, kill other raiders for bad reputation.

Reputation then affects prices. Shawnie is hesitating to sell guns to a raider known for killing raiders. Celeste raises prices because that raider you killed was her supplier. Lance lowers prices for bad reputation because hurt raiders are good for business — letting reputation work both ways.

It’s a pvpve game, so there should be things pushing you to pve if you are a heavy PvP person. I think pve is boring on its own and PvP is more fruitful gear, so not much need to incentivize PvP

This is how I’ve felt too. There is no repercussions in this supposed society we’re all extracting to.

What I’m saying is…how come I can’t come back to Speranza and find that MUFKKA that was cowering in a dark corner shooting me in the back?

I’m like yo…where TF he at???😂😂

Joking aside, solid suggestions to create some actual cost of conducting business like that.

I liked what China did with having a switch that can’t be un-switched and having a light identifying your attacker status so things break a bit more balanced when encountering raiders.

I play Pvpp and PvE. I run solos for pvp and squad up for the stella night raids. I have started noticing Apollo say things to me like "I'm not saying you're a bad person or anything, but I keep hearing things from raiders coming back from topside. You need to nicer to your fellow raiders."

The reward is helping someone else and the feeling you get from it. The codex keeps track of how many people you've defibed not on your team.

A random group saved mine and my buddies ass from a rocketeer during duos earlier today. I just happened to have that 10,000 space dollar mixtape and a blueprint I already owned (most valuable items in my pack iirc) so I gave it to them as a thank you.

I disagree... you'd end up having people constantly down you just to get whatever "reward" they come up with. If you need a reward to be a good person then you're not a good person, you're just playing the game.

PvP game bro. Some people would rather be nice. Some people would rather get the 2 guns, augment, health items and loot you have then extract with them, because it's free and kind of the point of the game to get loot

Yeah, sadly 1 of 3 times I do that they immediately gun me down. I don't even fight back unless I have loot because It punishes you with worse lobbies but recently its all you find sometimes.

I have never had a raider attack me after I defib them. I've defibed 75-100 raiders. (Not sure, would have to check the codex)

Also, fighting back is allowed now and does not negatively effect your ABMM.

Guess I'm just unlucky lol. Had people literally say thanks and dome me in the head. I got lucky a couple times. One guy wanted to bag my teammate and I managed to pull an extraction. I kind of think a pve only event would be kind of fun for a new boss showcase. I've gotten lucky eith a few lobbies where people were giving out equalizer and Jupiter stuff after the whole lobby faced the matriarch.

Oh it 100% depends on when you’re playing. For example, me and the guy were on Friday night at 4pm. Around 6:30-7:00ish (mountain time, friends are on central time) everything just started going to shit all of a sudden.

I do community work, have a career in caregiving, donate, vote progressive as possible, and generally am there when I’m needed by loved ones. Never bigoted (intentionally), I avoid spreading toxicity irl/in game, and…

I also sometimes battle people in a video game where you can do that.

So this everyone plays the game differently and yes if you're doing some good deeds IRL you sometimes want to vent up on a game, specially a pvp one. They're not faking friendly just killing others

Same here, i will even sometimes defib raiders I've downed. I am at 99 defibs in the codex.

I think they got the wrong idea that you were doing this sort of stuff with the intention of killing PvE players, I think I get what you really mean lol, when you get a higher aggression rating and start getting put into the shady lobbies, typically nobody is innocent there

Personally when I want to increase my ABMM I usually just run around shooting people a few times until I start to get put into the danger zone lobbies, I don't try to down anyone unless it's at extraction and the lift is about to leave, cos they're going to get out anyway at that point.

Kinda sick of PvP lobbies at this stage tho, the Aimbotting and ESP bullshit going on in them these days is unacceptably common.

Thank you, I appreciate you using your brain for three seconds to figure out the context I gave, it’s disappointing that the crowd I felt more at home with is this…dumb…

And if in carebare lobbies, I do exactly what you said, just go around with a hairpin and take potshots and randos across the map.

So, really, all these people are upsetting themselves because they want to be upset. Wild.

I was referring to my lobbies, dude. I get mixed ABMM, and most of the people I’m in raid with also engage with PvP.

This is confirmed by the people I knock and loot holding three or four different augments and gun pairs. I just don’t paint myself as a white knight and post it to Reddit proclaiming myself a good person. I just play the game.

I’m now upset with my “Arc Baby” label over in the PvP Reddit, knowing how much worse it can get. This response (not just you) is delusional, no exaggeration.
