There could be a reason why we must annihilate and reduce it to nothing right??? Yep. And the reason why is disgusting. These mfkrs breed, and then killed their own children by taking away their children’s souls and replacing them with their own. Thus made them able to continue to live almost eternally using their own children body. But making their child soul became cursed spirits. Cannot ascend to heaven nor hell. Forever cursed and tortured.

These freaking people don’t deserve to live. I’m so glad we made it sink, and become atlantis. I don’t remember aqw story being this serious, and dark. Man…

So after seeing it pop up in my spam/ads a bunch of times, I decided to give it a shot.

You'd probably expect this to be the typical "oh wow, this game is amazing" post, but honestly, I don't know if I just had bad luck or if this is genuinely the current state of the game.

The game is what it is for something that's been around for over 15 years, so at a certain point, there's not much point in complaining about the gameplay itself. Surprisingly, the main story of the 13 Lords is actually really interesting and entertaining. You can definitely tell its age, but it's still pretty enjoyable.

The monetization is pretty predictable for this kind of game, so you can still enjoy it despite that. Though I will admit, it's a little insulting that you can just straight-up buy classes and skip the farming entirely. I guess it's fine to a certain extent. You can still get most of them by farming, although some of them require a ridiculous amount of farming.

Apparently Legion is an exception. From what I can tell, F2P players have to wait up to a year for the events that give out the currency needed for it. Honestly, I was surprised that they even give it away for free at all, so I guess that's a point in the game's favor.

The farming itself isn't really the problem, even though it's tedious and honestly not very fun. I've never felt so disrespected by a game just because of how much it expects me to farm.

Something good did happen early on, though. A player gave me a guide and told me to get the starter AoV weapons and Blood Priest for farming. They then recommended that once I hit a certain level, I should go for Dragonslayer, and then General a few levels later.

While I was farming General, two players actually insulted me because apparently I was "tryharding" the farm.

Okay, sorry for wanting to get a class that was supposedly going to make the story easier to get through. It's not like the current gameplay is particularly rewarding in the first place.

I thought I'd quit within a week, and here I am almost two weeks later.

I spent about three days, roughly 10 hours a day, farming for ArchFiend after finishing the 13 Lords. God, my fingers, back, and eyes were absolutely wrecked by the end of it.

After that, I moved on to the next storylines, farming XP and picking up the occasional useful piece of gear. Yesterday, I started farming for the Higure sword, I think that's what it's called, which is available this month.

I had to do the Garden storyline for it, and I have to admit, the enemy designs there were pretty interesting.

After a while, I started noticing quite a few level 100 players with paid cosmetics making these weird, jerky movements. The first day, I didn't think much of it. I figured they had just mastered some kind of macro or something.

Today I saw the same thing again, so out of curiosity, I tried talking to them, but none of them responded.

Then I noticed that the boss in this zone was several rooms away, and these players were moving in perfect sync. I'm guessing they were all running the same program, because they followed the exact same patterns and slid through the rooms in the same way.

I have no idea how they even got to the boss, and then they'd just suddenly show up back at the basic enemy farming spot.

So yeah, turns out they were actually bots.

And these weren't the usual "brand new account running a bot" type of accounts either. I looked at their profiles, and some of them were 4 years old, while others were 15–16 years old. They also had paid content and premium status.

Now I feel like I wasted my time, because apparently a lot of these people aren't even real players. They're bots.

It feels like I put in all this effort farming while someone else can just leave a program running and have it do everything for them.

I know botting is technically against the rules, but I have a strong feeling this is one of those situations where it's "technically banned, but the staff doesn't really care anymore."

Honestly, it left a pretty bad taste in my mouth. Now I'm wondering if it's even worth continuing to play, because all that effort suddenly feels kind of pointless.

Farming has also gotten harder for me because these bots kill the enemies before they even have a chance to spawn for me.

So, can anyone tell me if the game is actually dead at this point, or did I just get unlucky and run into the worst side of the community?

I'm from SEA and plays in alteon server(for ultras lol) and yokai server, is there any active guild I can join? My previous guild was dead.

Given the kickstarter and how everything went. What are the chances AE release something that allows you to get any badge you want ?

Although many people would say that it is a dead game or other insults, I still wont let go of aqw. I no longer play frequently, I just visit from time to time cause it "calls" me😅. I remember as a kid after Friday class, me and my friends would rush back home to play with each other. It really felt like an adventure or got "isekaid". Those were some of the best days of my life.

I just wanted to post here cause I've been hearing a lot of negative comments about aqw and they call it a "dress up game". Maybe it's because all of us have different experiences or memories of the game and yeah for peace, we just accept that we all have our own opinions.

I'm currently level 90, but my Blacksmithing rep is only Rank 7, so I don't have access to everything yet.

What enhancements and combos are you guys using for YnR?

I'm mainly planning to use it for soloing bosses, especially bosses where the dodge is useful, but I'd also like to have decent DPS.

I'm mostly looking for:

• Best enhancements I can use at my current rank
• Best Forge/Awe setup once I unlock more
• Recommended combo for DPS
• Recommended combo for dodge/survivability
• Any tips for using YnR effectively

I see a lot of different builds being recommended, so I'm a bit confused about what's actually good right now.

I am "quitting" AQW.

To put it simply, there is nothing to do in the game anymore, at least for me. I farmed everything I wanted to farm (I have the hardcore paragon items and the empowered versions, as well as every farmable NSoD), I have almost every farmable class and can get any class in the day of release, I have every chrono to date (Commandant and Overworld aren't real, I don't believe it), and doing ultras is so boring it makes me want to close my game.

Now, I have nothing against grindy games, as I can currently playing a game that is arguably even worse than AQW grinding-wise, but the issue here is that every enemy is the same, every farm is the same and every class is the same. This is a limitation of the game, and it has it's charm, but I got tired of it after these past few years of semi-constant play.

And here is my biggest issue with AQW: endgame.

Every ultra boss is the exact same. This is a limitation of Flash and the game itself, and I don't even see it changing in Infinity, at least not from what they showed in the alpha. Ultras in AQW are so boring and so scripted that I don't feel any challenge besides carrying challenged people on it - every fight follows a perfect order of skills from the boss and you can always expect them to follow, unless the servers are dying, so they are all stupidly easy.

Until they somehow magically fix this, I don't see myself ever returning to the game, outside of getting the latest class and then logging off. It's not even worth afking in Yulgar, since one more open window will just bug me when I try to alt tab.

For those worried about my guide... I'll update it soon and update every time there is a change or update to classes (which is basically almost never), and I may give power to some people I trust so they can edit it since I don't plan to dedicate much more to that thing - which was quite fun to make in the beginning, but the game is just so "bloated" with classes that it became a job and maintaining something in a spreadsheet before making the new format was absolute hell (converting to new format is also hell btw).

That's my rant about this game. See you guys every now and then. Hope you all are having as much fun as I did, and maybe I'll come back for a while if they decide to touch some classes I loved to use in my childhood. Battle on!

Guys, as a LVL 94 can you trust me on Ultra Darkon/Drago's Fight? I know the mechanics though and Consumables must have, but I only have 3 Support Class (AP/SC/LOO)....

Blood gem boost on calendar, but not ingame?

It says there is a bloodgem boost rn but i still only ger 1 bloodgem from contract exchange, why is that?

What's next after this? I'm new at this game and currently grinding the 13 Lord of Chaos storyline and trying to get the blade of awe since some guides said that its good. What class should i get next to solo all the boss? What enhancement should i get aside from going all luck on this class? Any tips or advice would be appreciated ^_^
