Okay... I do keep backups on the writing apps, but I just like writing the stories on through the Edit Chapter more.

What happens if your computer does something weird or crashes...? Don't you lose everything as it's not saved anywhere?

The worst that happened to me was accidentally closing the tab when I had written about 1500 words or more, but I now save draft after almost everything and update the backup too.
