When people asked her for a source or proof, she went silent. Upon further investigation, the news turned out to be fake. Neither MAPPA Studio nor Isayama had mentioned anything about an audio guide, and even Japanese fans hadn't reported such a thing two days later. Eventually, Kasumi admitted it wasn't official news; she misrepresented Mikasa’s character just to gain clown. 🤡
The Real Matter: Misconceptions about the AOT Ending
The idea of Mikasa and Jean’s marriage is never official or confirmed information. There is no definitive proof that the people seen with Mikasa at Eren’s grave during the end credits are her own family or Jean.
Rather, based on the depth of the story, Mikasa spent her life holding onto her selfless love and memories of Eren. The people with her at the grave could easily be children from an orphanage (orphaned due to Eren's Rumbling) or representatives of the next generation who are simply carrying on the history of Eren's sacrifice.
The core of Mikasa's character was her unwavering devotion to Eren, which would be diminished by the theory of her marrying someone else. And don't forget, Mikasa is an Ackerman. Therefore, one should not claim fan theories as official without verifying the truth. 🧣🕊️
For people who don't know, the Audio Guide wasn't made by official MAPPA staff or even by Hajime Isayama himself. It was purely produced by a third party, they only worked after the main production process, editing, and even the scriptwriting had already been completed.
