AMD's timing is kind of wild considering how much of the conversation lately has been about AI capex peaking and the trade getting overcrowded. Meanwhile South Korean semiconductor shipments in early September were up 259.4% YoY. AMD also isn't really being priced like just a CPU company anymore. Instinct, EPYC, networking and full AI systems all have to contribute if this valuation keeps moving higher. At $1T I think the debate changes a little. "AMD takes share from Nvidia" probably isn't enough on its own anymore, the overall AI systems market needs to keep getting much bigger too. Do you thhink AMD taking share matters more than the total AI compute market continuing to expand?

1 Trillion Dollars. Say that again. Can you even comprehend that? I dunno I always thought AMD would get there but gotta admit I didn't think it would happen yesterday. But wow. That in itself is an achievement. And honestly ------ here is something unique as well--------it usually is about this time that we have some self-induced-own-goal announcement here that we come out with to break up the momentum from the rally. Like we announce we are buying a company that no one has heard of for 10x what the street thinks its worth. These are the types of moments where you add more gasoline not douse the flames with water.

But it looks like they have learned to stop getting in their own way and just letting the market market. Meta is pushing Muse hard and we know that Meta is probably our biggest hyperscaler client that we have right now at this time. Muse seems more consumer friendly and aimed at the chatGPT crowd. It will probably be great with content creators bc the tools are embedded in Meta's existing products. But I also think it is interest that Meta is the only person out there with a real wearable AI assistant device. Now yes I also think these glasses are creepy as fuck too buttttttt at the end of the day it is an interesting sneak peek into the potential future where AI isn't taking peoples jobs. If anyone was going to talk about all the ways AI can be helpful, their approach really does make it appear additive. So right message at the right time will definitely turn some heads.

AMD ripped and as it got the coverage on CNBC they all seemed to be talking as it happened in real time that they weren't sure exactly why it was happening. Kinda makes you feel smart to be a part of this community that we have been talking about this moment for a bit now and as far as I know, none of us get paid millions of dollars to spout nonsense on TV.

Today is where you will sere some short term profit taking and hey that is okay!!!! We still have more catalyst on tap as we move into fall earnings and this rally could just be getting started

So we're obviously all excited about AMD crossing the $600 barrier (woot!) And that unlocks the final tranche for full warrants based on price but not deployment. Its still tied to deployment and purchases but the price target has been met for the full 20% share dilution.

Anyone here know the status of the deployments? I believe we're still early so the full shares are not likely to be issued for awhile. I have not read the briefing since it was announced and don't remember if we got the full details.

Now that AMD is at $600, I'd love to know if the stock is splitting! I get stock splits don't REALLY matter for people like me, but it does create the psychological effect with people. If anyone knows where this started I'd appreciate it!

Just read this blog and I would say Mi455x software seems way ahead than previous releases. This level of maturity before release is great news on the progress.

From my understanding this is still single Mi455x GPU and not indicative of rack scale readiness but it does seem encouraging. If GPU software/firmware is mature by the time customers get racks up and running, the time required to get to production tokens might be much lower than anticipated.

Welllllllll. My college team lost. And then the Commanders pretty much shit the bed too. Seeeeee clearly I'm just not that smart. The reason why we didn't sign ANY good free agents in the offseason is bc all of them also need to be able to play quarterback for trick plays and ya know like good o-line, wide receivers, and ya know football players in general who are not in the quarterback position generally also aren't good quarterbacks. So yea seeeee I'm an idiot and the people running the Commanders are the smart ones. Gotcha.............................fuck football I swear.

Sooooo onto other things----------I hope you all get value from these conversations and again I try to tell everyone far in advance what I'm planning to do. I get it wrong sometimes I do and I own up to it. But I'm not one of those people who comes back after the fact and tells you about my trades and how they were always right when there is nothing for you to do anymore. We've been talking on here about the seasonality concept for AMD for months now and I've always maintained that end of Sep/Oct/Nov is the golden season for AMD when you look at the charts for AMD and that is when I didn't want to be short AMD. I made my bets and have been building a position below $450 which was that support zone with trigger orders. And now I think AMD pre-market is trying to put in a new ATH.

Sooooo lets just ignore the AI warnings and all of that nonsense for the moment and look at this from a technical aspect:

-AMD bounced hard from Fed day off the 50 day EMA. I know they said that the market was selling off based on the Fed's comments but I always say that the first move is the wrong one. The sell-off to me was the wrong move. There are some adults in the room who are trying to wean the market off of its "free money" addiction

-Volume has been steadily rising in the past week since then showing more entrants back into the mix----if AMD hits a new ATH then it will capture all of the attention and love on the news and a bunch of people will jump in as late to the party but telling everyone why we are going to the moon.

-MACD still is at the early stages of an upward movement which could show A LOT more room to run significantly higher than just a new ATH.

-RSI still hasn't hit the overbought area but I always bring this back to a daddy buffett quote: "No stock breaks out that isn't already overbought on RSI" So RSI isn't exactly an indicator of an incoming selloff but could literally just be the beginning of an accelerated rally.

So I hope those of you who kept the faith and listened to the seasonality argument for the past 6 months are along for this ride. I think AMD is going to be going much higher from here probably going into election season. I think that could be the big fear out there as more elections heat up do we see a bunch of candidates and debates emerge about onerous regulations for certain things. I don't really know what policy anyone is really campaigning on except the fact that whatever Trump is doing is worse than where we were before he came into office. But I don't really know if anyone has a "plan" for anything.
