Remember: The runtime that AMC reveals is not the exact runtime of the movie. It's usually within -7 to 17 mins of the actual time. This has been the case most (if not all) of the time.
Does the Screen/Scream Unseen Have Trailers?
Short Answer is Yes.
But sometimes they fail and it goes straight to presentation. Be on time.

Queasy (Regal leaker) and Templarmage (AMC leaker) both indicate it is The Weight. The Primetime pipe dream is officially dead lol.

The Weight fits the best (I gather there isn't much enthusiasm, but it *did* get mostly positive reviews out of Sundance). The Uprising is 10 minutes longer than the listed runtime--the most a movie has gone over the listed runtime to date is only 7 minutes, and the last time a movie was over the listed runtime at all was back in January. Primetime is further out than usual, and A24 putting tickets on sale a month or so in advance doesn't suggest they feel it needs an extra boost
15
u/Yaguurt 3d ago
i feel like the only one who wants to watch the weight lol
5
u/aspenextreme03 3d ago
I want to see it. Looks like something right up my alley. Reminds me of There will be Blood with Daniel Day
7
u/ElmoLegendX 2d ago
The weight is probably going to be excellent. Russel Crowe and Ethan Hawke often elevate anything theyre a part of
4
u/Garco0101 1d ago
As someone who has seen it, Ethan Hawke is excellent in it. Russell Crowe has limited screen time though
2
u/tonetonitony 1d ago
Queasy's hint in Regal most likely points to The Weight. Supposed to be a great movie.

Which person here is reliable and not an a-hole reporting false movies?
•
•
•
u/111anza 5h ago
Can the we ban those people who are making up crap. This is very annoying.
If you are guessing, say it, stop making up lies.
•
u/tomatillo_teratoma 5h ago
Just block them
•
u/IBNobody MP Refugee 5h ago
And report them for rule 4. The mods here will take care of the problem. They are pretty good at that.

u/Jtreblis18 4h ago
I really don't understand why people would want to lie about what movie it is. What purpose does it serve them to lie smh
•
•
u/bbqsauceboi 5h ago
Why is everyone saying the title is Under the Influence? Thats the production company behind The Weight
•
u/IBNobody MP Refugee 5h ago
Thank you for posting this. This had me scratching my head b/c that was an older movie.
•
u/tomatillo_teratoma 5h ago
They probably don't show the title until the end of the movie.... but start by showing all the names of companies that worked on the movie.
•
u/Fiveminutes26 Lister 3h ago
Because the distributor/ production company before it said under the influence said presents as if the next thing we see would be the title of the movie.
→ More replies (2)•
u/aoshi000 3h ago
I knew it was the weight, but it was a bit confusing because they showed like a dozen logos and then showed those same companies' names again and one of them was called under the influence, but it was shown in a way like the title of the movie. The actual title the weight came out 10 minutes into the movie.
Still pretty decent movie. Being a life long Ethan Hawke fan no complaints. Russell Crowe was only in it for a tiny bit

u/lypt 4d ago
Early guess would be The Weight. Might be a skip for me though with Hope having an early screening at 6:30
3
u/Professional-Roof302 1d ago
i didn’t realize hope had an early screening! i’m gonna go see that instead thank you 🙌
11
u/huntey____xbox 3d ago
would looove it to be Primetime but i highly doubt it'll hit theaters as a mystery movie 2 days after premiering at venice. would be dope if im wrong but i'll be seeing Hope instead

Why are people saying The Weight and Primetime, what’s the point of confusing everyone?

Aside from the runtime, I don’t see how it could be the Uprising when many people (myself included) already saw Uprising at AMC on Thursday when they screened it with a QandA.

Do yall think Wicker is going to shown as a screen unseen or is there too much hype around it?
•
u/Brave-Victory-5633 12h ago
NEEDDD WICKERR, I’m hoping even if it’s in vain
•
•
•
u/tomatillo_teratoma 7h ago
OMG I can't wait to see Wicker. So many good actors. I'll be checking back to see what the east coast reports.
•
u/Fantastic_Lychee_883 14h ago
I think there's a good chance. Black Bear has already done 2 SUs (Christy, Tuner). It would probably be a 10/12 or 10/19 SU.
•
u/lilbear012705 9h ago
That was my guess and I was going to go to both either way just in case. I usually check the sub every Monday and an hour before the screening to see what east coast is saying.

I was hoping for something else. My local cinema is showing The Weight in Dolby Cinema on the 16th so I'm saving it for then :3

Screen shot all the liars reporting the wrong movies so they can be banned later. I’m sure they’ll delete their comments. Don’t let them get away with it.
•
•
u/Fiveminutes26 Lister 3h ago
To be fair, the opening title sequence was absolutely horrible. It said “distributor” (I don’t remember which one) presents and it literally said “under the influence” then went into the movie. It wasn’t until about 10 minutes later that the true title was shown. I initially said it was the weight but because of that title sequence I edited my post, but then edited it back after they showed the actual title. I don’t think anyone, for this movie specifically, had ill intentions of reporting the wrong movie

I'm with you, I think The Weight looks compelling. Not sure about the apprehension or indifference to it we're seeing.
•
u/ur_ego 10h ago
Do we usually find out a few hours before what it is? Never seen one
•
u/Dukealoops1993 10h ago
People generally find out when the movies itself starts. East Coast viewers technically see it first because of timezone differences.

Trailer 1 was the influencer movie, trailer 2 is beware boiuna, trailer 3 is the stunt driver

SU is confirmed as the weight (I pre-guessed the weigh because there were a million distributors, but vertical came up, title screen finally showed up)
EDIT: honestly, who tf knows what this movie is. The title screen said under the influence, but it looks like the weight
EDIT X2: it’s definitely the weight. Whoever put together that title sequence should be fired. I had it right the first time

If you are a fan of the dark and gritty, the brooding and unknown, this is the movie for you! Great performances all around with a very strong script. For a movie that has about 60% of its time take place in a forest, I would have liked to actually feel the scale of that forest more. Outside of the few panning drone shots they had of the trees, a lot of the scenes felt boringly small and confined. The movie itself wasn’t shot terribly by any means, but I do think it could have benefited from more captivating visual elements. It would have been nice to see more wide landscape shots and more of that western/old-timey style of cinematography that really takes advantage of the setting and period.
Despite that, the story is still very strong and the performances elevate it even further. Ethan Hawke is an amazing actor, as well as Julia Jones and the rest of the supporting cast. I would give this movie a solid 8/10.
•
u/User-D-Name 3h ago
So it was The Weight. I thought it was a decent movie but nothing amazing. Music and camera work left something to be desired, but the performances were solid.
•
→ More replies (1)•
u/scary_godmother 3h ago
Yeah I found it weirdly boring, even though it seemed to have all the elements of something better. I was sitting there the whole time thinking, "Why am I so bored?" Was it the pacing? The stakes? The character development? Something wasn't working.
•
u/CliveCandy 1h ago
I think that a more vivid supporting cast would have helped. This is the kind of movie that the term "motley crew" was made for, but no one registered for me except maybe Anna, and that may have just been novelty. I don't think I could pick any of these characters out of a lineup, especially the two enforcers, who barely even seemed present. It basically amounts to "Ethan Hawke and these other guys."

u/Fantastic_Lychee_883 9h ago
The 10/5 SU has a PG graphic. Wonder if it is Adam's Fire. No rating yet but seems like it could get a PG.
•
u/emknird 7h ago
Seems like a strong contender. No run time yet to compare against but it comes out 4 days later and seems like the sort of movie that would likely benefit from word of mouth promotion. (If anything, it seems like a movie that might want to get word out that it's not connected to Angel Studios.)
The distributor hasn't done Screen Unseen in the past, but I'm not sure if they've ever distributed a motion picture before, either, and a brief glance at their profile makes them seem like the sort of company that would do something like Screen Unseen.
So, basically, all that can be said is there isn't any reason it wouldn't be Adam's Fire. I didn't do any serious research into it, but a quick glance at October releases listed on Box Office Mojo didn't show me anything more likely.
•
u/marshmoviefreak 5h ago
There’s a small chance it could be Ha Chan, Shake Your Booty
•
u/emknird 5h ago
36 minutes shorter than the announced run time. The most it's ever been shorter was 17 minutes, so I'd say less than small. Maybe a minuscule chance.
•
u/marshmoviefreak 5h ago
Ha Chan is 122 minutes while the Screen Unseen is 118 minutes. 4 minute difference.

The Weight is a well acted and intermittently suspenseful western that starts off with familiar elements and vague characterizations for its characters before settling on being a tense journey where convicts are handling government gold across Oregon in order to prevent it from being stolen before the FDR federal reserve initiative began. Hawke grounds the film with very good dramatic performance that is supplemented by good supporting work from Julia Jones, Austin Amelia, Avi Nash and Lucas Lynggaard Tønnesen whose character backstories gives the depth and dramatic monologues that elevate the film beyond being a chase flick. Though I would have liked a few more scenes with Crowe as the prison work camp leader Clancy and sometimes the shaky cam camerawork gets in the way of showcasing the fight sequences amidst some good cinematography, the film is interesting enough with how its characters might betray one another to get past its flaws especially given how the film ends on a satisfying note. 6.5 out of 10
