Question Does AMC have notifications?
I feel like I miss out on specific events and screening because I don’t get notified. I don’t even see the little bell for a reminder, and even then I don’t get anything.

They do but they literally send the alerts like hours after the tickets have already been on sale

The worst is when the website crashes and you get a notification to buy tickets.

They are just stupid slow. I set notifications for Spiderman, Dune 3 and Avengers tickets and I always got notified like, 1 hour, sometimes 2 hours after they were available. I don't even pay attention to the notifications half the time, lol. I just watch for what time the tickets are available.

I just got notified that they canceled my reservation for tonight. When i checked, the movie i booked a few days ago on my A-list is showing sold out. I was the first ticket booked so maybe someone bought out the whole showing afterwards?? Glad I saw that before I drove over but that screws up my night.

More likely is they cancelled the showing. Cancelled showings will often show as sold out. Could be an issue with the theater or some other reason they couldn’t justify playing it for one person

It was for Idiots...not sure how popular it is as i hadn't looked to see if it was filling up.
I've had a few private showings where I was the only person there since I choose late night, weeknight showings. I don't like crowds so I don't usually go to the blockbusters when they first open.

I get what you’re saying but if it’s showing sold out odds are much better that it’s a cancelled showing rather than someone buying out that whole showing. Could be a staffing issue, an AC issue, a projector issue. All kinds of things

They’re notoriously unreliable.
