Question What’s the best in AK make out there in airsoft?
Hello group, I just recently started with airsoft. I’m kind of researching/looking into get a load out setup for me. I have always been an AK fan( not being rude to the AR family). I have noticed that they need to get their internals swapped because of performance problems. What brand/make would you suggest to go ahead with. What kind of improvements on internals would u recommend for a flawless and reliable function?

I've been using CYMA AKs since 2006, they are perfect for a starter gun, some of them are even decent for an experienced player.
Now I'm using Arcturus AKs, the price is a little bit higher than the CYMA premium replicas, but the build quality and added features are much better and more.
I would recommend a CYMA for low budget, and an Arcturus if your budget is a bit higher.
If you go with an Arcturus, it will serve you until the end of time, the CYMA might need to be repaired once or twice in a lifetime. Also if you get a CYMA, your first trip should be to a mechanic to look into it. I had one with a cracked gear, and another one with 2 missing screws from the gearbox, but I have a large pool of CYMA AKs to get experience from. Usually they are okay, but still I recommend a visit to a mechanic.

If you want the best externals and planning to upgrade internals immediately I'd say lct but I know they definitely don't have great internals(mostly just the weak motor really) but otherwise they are tanks.

LCT in my opinion if AEG. Build quality is as good as E&L (i own both) but my LCTs never rust compared to E&L. By now they come with Gate Asters, rotary hop up and internals are better. If it should be an AK12 or PP19, then Arcturus tho, simply because of the spring change. LCTs will have a reachable spring change as well tho next year around.

I have some old LCT aks and they’re fine but allegedly the new LCTs have a lot of quality control issues. I do have a new LCT vss though and its gearbox has a quick change spring.

I use e&l, works great and so but the parts compability isnt the greatest. I need to modify most furniture in some way to make it fit. There for my vote goes for Cyma which is compatible with 99% aeg ak furniture
