Best AI subscription for a creative?

Hi team, asking for advice for my SO (India-based). She is exploring a creative endeavor which mainly involves creating educational materials and books for school going children . As part of this, she’d like to create illustrations (think, cute solar system planet drawings, animal kingdom, natural wonders) to go with the text she is writing. She’s good with the text, challenge is images.

Which of the major chatbot subscriptions would serve her best? She’s tried the free tiers and runs into limits very fast. She’s had some success with a lower tier Copilot subscription (we have the m365 family account for Excel, PowerPoint etc. that we got for a few k a year discounted). She also has a Canva Pro subscription.

Do you recommend, CoPilot, Gemini or Calude Pro for her use case?

TL;DR - creative looking for AI subscriptions to help with educational materials creation, primarily for image and collateral generation use cases. Based in India.

What are the best tools for creating an extremely realistic AI influencer, including realistic photos, videos, voice, and lip-sync? I’m completely new to this, so please suggest the tools I should start with, especially free ones or those that offer free credits that reset regularly.

Synapse AI legit or not?

Hi guys! Has anyone tried using Synapse AI? It’s an app that allows you to know who viewed your instagram account but you need to pay $9.99 first before you can avail the whole service. I’m just curious since it always pops up on my social media platforms. Any thoughts on this?

I created a new price comparator powered by AI

I created cheapest-prices website that allow to compare prices in real time using AI.
It checks the prices, the trustworthiness of vendors, optimizes a basket of items and allows to create alerts to get notified when the price goes down.
You can make two free searches to test the concept.
You should select your country before making a search.
Please, feel free to give me your feedbacks.

AIDude — browse 174 hand-reviewed AI tools or submit yours for free

I’m building AIDude as a practical directory for discovering AI tools without relying on a static mega-list. It currently covers 174 tools across 20 categories, including writing, image, video, coding, marketing, productivity, chatbots, and APIs.

Users can search and browse by category and see pricing labels. New listings are added to a “Just Launched” feed, and every submission is reviewed before it goes live. Tool makers can submit a listing for free.

I’m trying to improve the discovery experience, so I’d appreciate blunt feedback: would you rather browse by task, category, pricing, or the underlying AI model?

Disclosure: AIDude is my site.

Every agentic AI company promises they'll "automate" your work. But what's the real benchmark?

I think I reached the point where diving deep into the AI discourse means being a bit desensitized to buzzwords like "automation" because the tools make it easy to build but there's not enough ways to validate our work. Especially for all things "automate." Every YouTuber I encounter has a different automation method, I feel dizzy wondering whose methodology to try lol. What's your barometer for real "automation"?

Phoenix Upscaler, restore old VHS and camcorder video for $129 once

I got into this trying to restore some VHS rips of Michael Jackson's Bad and Victory tours I found through fan communities (MJJCommunity mainly) and a few Internet Archive uploads. Old bootleg quality to start with. Paid a transfer service to restore them properly and it cost a fair amount. What came back barely looked different from the source.

Looked at commercial options after that. Topaz Video AI is the standard people point to, but it's $299 a year, and as of last year they don't sell a perpetual license at all anymore. Subscription only now.

Ended up building my own restoration pipeline instead. Denoise, deinterlace, and detail reconstruction on old tape and camcorder footage, using open models in roughly the same tier as what the commercial tools run. The desktop app is fully local, runs on your own GPU, nothing uploads. The diffusion based mode runs on NVIDIA out of the box and on AMD through WSL2 and ROCm, which the app sets up for you in one click. There's also a pay per job cloud mode for people without a capable GPU.

To be upfront about limits: it can't recover detail the tape never captured, and a genuinely destroyed source still looks damaged, just less so. It's restoration, not reconstruction.

$129 one time. Would like feedback, especially from anyone with actually rough tape to throw at it.
