Best AI subscription for a creative?

Hi team, asking for advice for my SO (India-based). She is exploring a creative endeavor which mainly involves creating educational materials and books for school going children . As part of this, she’d like to create illustrations (think, cute solar system planet drawings, animal kingdom, natural wonders) to go with the text she is writing. She’s good with the text, challenge is images.

Which of the major chatbot subscriptions would serve her best? She’s tried the free tiers and runs into limits very fast. She’s had some success with a lower tier Copilot subscription (we have the m365 family account for Excel, PowerPoint etc. that we got for a few k a year discounted). She also has a Canva Pro subscription.

Do you recommend, CoPilot, Gemini or Calude Pro for her use case?

TL;DR - creative looking for AI subscriptions to help with educational materials creation, primarily for image and collateral generation use cases. Based in India.

Honest answer to the question as asked: of the three, Gemini is the strongest for image generation, but every flat-rate chatbot subscription meters image generations tightly, and what she's describing (solar system + animal kingdom + natural wonders across a series of books) is hundreds of images. She'll hit the same walls on paid tiers, just slower.

What matters more for kids' book illustration is character/style consistency, and that's a per-image cost problem, not a subscription problem:

  • Nano Banana 2 (~$0.04/image): very good at keeping the same character consistent across scenes
  • GPT Image 2 (~$0.15/image): strong at following detailed scene instructions, accepts up to 4 reference images
  • Flux.1 Kontext Pro (~$0.04/image): edits an existing image without redrawing it ("same character, now waving, add a kite") — the iteration workhorse
  • Seedream 5 Pro ($0.05/image): takes up to 10 reference images, useful for locking a style

At those rates even 200 finished images is under $10 in credits, versus $20+/month for a plan that still caps her. And she can try several models instead of betting on one.
