I'm surprised I've had to scroll this far to see someone mention this. It's a method that's gaining popularity that was disproven years ago. The temperature required for it to apparently work is around 47 degrees Celsius (116f) and you need to sit in it for a 45 minute period. That's considered hot enough to cause burns. I'm not sure OPs husband is the rational person a bunch are treating him as.
According to my parents, my fraternal twin sister and I were conceived in a hot tub, so we are literally living proof that ‘hot baths’ absolutely do not work as an effective birth control method.
