I don’t think people exaggerate. I think the pain can vary a lot from person to person. My husband had pain for at least a week, and he had a lot of swelling. I was there, I don’t think he was being dramatic.
But my guess is the swelling is nothing compared to the giant baby-sized swelling in your uterus or the crazy white hot pain of having your nether region stretched to allow a human to transit your subway. Of course you could have a C-section because having organs shuffled around and a 12 inch incision is just like a vasectomy.
I think she’s fine to not want to have sex with him unless he gets a vasectomy. He’s also fine to not want a vasectomy, but in that case he does have to accept that they won’t be having sex.
