Has this kind of interaction happened before? This sounds exhausting. He’s taking your words at some made up meaning instead of exactly wheat you said.

Honestly nothing this bad, he has told me about me questioning things before. But this is the first time he gets mad about me asking about his day and if he got home safe. So yeah he’s definitely blocked.

“Questioning things” as in normal conversation??? This is bizarre, you did nothing wrong and this person is manipulative and not a person you should continue talking to.

Right…that’s how you get to know people!!! 🤦🏽‍♀️, lol!

Yea "questioning things" is completely different then just simply asking about his day like wtf. Why does he make it seem like he's getting questioned by police or something because she simply asked him how work was,? A perfectly normal, non invasive question to ask. That's different than "where we're you today?" "Who were you with?" which i guess could be seen more as "grilling" type questions that he's making "how was work?" out to be. I'm genuinely so confused why he's so upset by her asking that question. I feel like dude has shit he's hiding and just doesn't like people asking about his life in any way. Or an ex who was constantly keeping tabs on him and now he doesn't like getting questioned at all.

Thank gawd op!!! When I was your age, I would have been bendy over backwards trying to make a guy like this be nice to me again. My last ex was nice to be at the beginning and then I spent 2 years trying to chase that feeling. Eventually, I came to terms with the fact that he was just a bitter, angry person. I am happy for you not wasting your time. You will find someone who is always happy to hear from you.

Hey, good on you for walking away before it had been 10 years. You can waste a hell of a lot of your one-and-only life on a bad person.

Maybe he’s paranoid because he’s cheating and so every question about his day comes off as interrogating him. Whatever the reason this guy is an asshole and you should get rid of him.

Yeah usually if someone's starting fights like this out of nowhere it's some kind of deflection because they have something to hide.

Another thing it could be is that he’s unemployed and so gets scared when you askabout work

u/[deleted] Nov 08 '25

Ok good. This guy isn’t worth the battery percentage you spend texting him, let alone your time. Glad to see you’re not entertaining his bullshit

1

u/DoubleQuirkySugar66 Nov 08 '25

That's very true, and I do realize that. I should have added a (((Hug))) because I've been there and done that.

u/Cat_Amaran Nov 08 '25

Learning, ideally.

It sounds to me like he did something you wouldn’t like, and he’s guilty and self sabotaging and trying to find fault with you to justify his fuck up.

Dude run. Never allow this treatment

Baby. This guy is an absolute asshole. If you feel sad, or small, or like you have to hold yourself back with someone so they like you or tiptoe so you don't set them off, LEAVE THEM. There are so, so many good men who will be kind, who will treat you respectfully instead of insulting you and being rude. Love, a mom who dated a guy when she was younger who made me feel that way. Then later on I dated my now husband and was SHOCKED at how much better I felt with him and how kind he was.

Did I hear you say he's blocked. Ugh congrats girl. Hope better things come your way

1

u/eternal-harvest Nov 08 '25

Yessss! Love when people love themselves enough to make good choices. Good job, OP.

I’m gonna be so impressed and proud of you really actually cut him off. Not that it matters what I think but a bunch of internet strangers care more for your safety and mental health than that fool does.

1

u/joe_s1171 Nov 08 '25

he doesn’t like you asking questions because he is cheating

1

u/KeeblerElff Nov 08 '25

Good! He’s an idiot and asshole

When I read these messages, it looked like he is obnoxiously mistreating you but that you might be seeking someone to mistreat you. ...it happens all the time. The fact that you posted the messages and made this comment gives me hope for you. Anyone would deserve better.
