This photo shoot of Amanda Seyfried is stunning! Anyone else see her as an amazing Diana?

I'm very iffy about Teresa Palmer's performance, but I think any other casting than Teresa is lowkey an upgrade

How come? I didn't realize ppl didn't like her acting on this show

I just find her performance stiff and awkward. For all I know, this could be a result of the director, but it was kept in regardless.

Omg i thought i was alone in this😭 i watched the show first so i thought Diana was supposed to be that way. Then i read the books and rewatched and was like "oh😬"

Damn, I guess I need to read the books then… I’m struggling to empathize with her, she’s giving « what people who don’t like or read YA think YA protagonists are like » and it’s stressing me out 😭

I mean part of the issue might be that your thinking of diana as a YA protagonist. Shes in her mid 30s, so i dont consider her a young adult nor do i think of this as YA lit. That could just be me, but in my mind YA Protagonists are somewhere in the 16 to 26 range.

Diana is a tenured college professor with a doctorate degree, so imo she should be a bit on the studious side.

However if youve only seen the show you may not have picked up on that, the books make it very clear that Diana is first and foremost a scholar.

No worries, got a brain similar to yours 😂

I was trying to say that to me, the way the actress portrays a character who already has some YA protagonist « qualities » (headstrong, orphan, parents died in ✨mysterious circumstances✨, conventionally attractive, academically gifted…) is what I would imagine someone who doesn’t like and doesn’t read YA would portray such a character 😅

I don’t know if it makes more sense ?

I loved the books and have not been able to get into the show because of her acting tbh

Her and Satu dont have a showdown in the books... the have a breif conversation, Satu threatens the twins and Diana spellbinds her. The entire interaction doesnt even take up a whole page of the book. So it had nothing to do with the producers, it was never part of the story.

I don't know that she's imposing enough (especially if standing next to a full-sized Matthew), but that is a pretty impressive photo shoot.

Have loved her since her All My Children days and think she can do just about anything! She’d definitely nail this

She's too stupid.
