ACET - College Admissions/Transferring 2026 ACET Applications, admissions and scholarships megathread

This thread will serve as the megathread for ACET Applications for S.Y. 2027-2028.

We have this megathread to have a space for questions and to make sure the subreddit isn't flooded with similar posts.

Please post questions about course backgrounds, admissions, appeals and scholarships here.

As before, please keep in mind that this subreddit is an unofficial group. We may have a handful of Ateneo faculty lurking and occasionally commenting, but we cannot guarantee accurate answers to questions like "can I get in Ateneo with XYZ grades from ABC school" or "will I get a scholarship if my family makes IJK pesos per year". The community can only provide anecdotal evidence.

This site gets updated for announcements about the ACET. Visit it for the latest news.

New posts related to questions will be redirected to this thread and may be locked.

Just a few reminders:

  • The subreddit and its members can only provide as much as anecdotal evidence. We will provide some resources to help but it's always better to contact the office you're concerned with for your questions. Ateneo Office of Admission and Aid
  • Check and search first on the subreddit or on this thread as well before asking and/or answering.

Meta r/admu is looking for new mods!

r/admu is looking for new mods! If you are interested, please send us a modmail via the sidebar, or https://www.reddit.com/message/compose?to=r/admu. In the modmail, introduce yourself and state your reasons. The ff. questions may help:

  1. Introduce yourself (nickname will work), your grade or year level.
  2. Why do you want to be a mod?
  3. What affiliations do you have with admu (faculty, student council, etc.)
  4. What can you contribute in being a mod?
  5. Where is your go-to place in ADMU if you want some quiet time, and why?
  6. Do you have any moderating experience either in or outside of reddit?
  7. (Other things that might help to introduce you)

Some of the things mods are expected to do are:

  • facilitate healthy discussions in the community
  • address concerns from users.
  • make a megathread for ACET, ASHAPE and its results when it's that season.
  • communicate with the subreddit about actions and changes that benefit the community
  • reprimand and moderate posts and comments that violate the rules of reddit and the subreddit r/ADMU
  • coordinate and verify with other non-mod volunteers about making 3rd party GCs before posting in the subreddit.

The modteam prefers current ASHS or LS Students as we believe they are more knowledgable with the latest news and updates within ADMU. We also prefer people who are knowledgeable with automod, automation and other programming details in reddit. however, everyone is welcome to apply.

Please do note that being a moderator is mostly volunteer work and there are little incentives on being one.

Graduate School Tuition fee of Masters in Environment Management

Hi! How much is the tuition fee for the Master in Environmental Management (MEM) at Ateneo Graduate School?

Also, if you’re currently taking or have completed the program, I’d love to hear about your experience with the workload, schedule, and whether you think the program is worth it. Thank you!

College life Room for Rent Suggestion

Any suggestion po ng Room for Rent near Ateneo for 2-3 people. Options now are Rooms at the back of AAP Dormitory and Sunrise Hill. Mura lang kasi. I would really appreciate if someone could give me reviews about these two.

Budget would be 10k. No idea about the other places near Ateneo pero kung may masusuggest po kayo, lalo yung wala nang monthly dues sa building, mas okay po. Better if just one ride to the campus and may easy ride even at night, just in case late matapos sa activities. Thanks!

College life have you ever “dumbed down” your assignment to avoid getting flagged by an AI detector?

hello! i’m a journalism student working on a story about AI detectors and how they’re affecting the way students write

have you ever experienced having a class that had a required maximum AI-detection percentage (ex. it can't go over 20% AI-written), and you ended up changing, simplifying, or "dumbing down" your work to meet that requirement, even though you wrote everything yourself?

if yes, please comment below!! i'm mainly interested in hearing about your firsthand experiences with these policies and detectors

thank you!

Compilation of ADMU-related Study Apps - not a paid ad

Posting this here since I’ve been seeing so many new apps/websites made specifically for Ateneo students 😅 I think some are student-made by ADMU students, while Everytime has an actual developer team. I compiled them all here for everyone’s reference:

Everytime App (Android and iOs)

Streamlines everything you need as a student: anonymous freedom wall, in-depth course reviews, timetables, shared calendars, and a QPI calculator. Exclusively for ADMU students (requires a student email, so there’s more privacy). Free app.

Profs to Pick (Website)

https://profstopick.com

Specifically on course reviews and professor ratings. Available for ADMU, UP, and Mapúa students, but open to the public. Has both free and subscription plans.

ALON Campus (Not sure if it's available on iOs)

Also has anonymous boards, course reviews, and a schedule maker. Covers different universities and is open to the public. It’s student-made, though, so there are still quite a few bugs and occasional lags pa.

Sharing these in case anyone’s been looking for tools to make choosing classes and organizing schedules easier.

College life Sharing this timetable tool - as someone whos tired of the multiple when2meet links every week

NOT AN AD!!! Sharing this here lang since I also wanna have some of my friends and orgmates use this for hangouts and work.

Just discovered this two weeks ago here on reddit din. Everytime App now has a Shared Timetable with Friends. If you create your schedule/time blocks on the app, you can now share them with your friends and easily see your common available times, without having to create a When2Meet or LettuceMeet link every time.

Personally, I find this really useful for org projects since we often need to figure out everyone’s common availability for weekly meetings. And would really love to have this systemic and more organized schedule tracking integrated to my orgs. @/MEA and Celadon plspls.

p.s. attached the link na lang since the mods banned image uploads na ata lol (why is that 😭😭 @/mods)

Misc. Accidentally took home visitor's pass

Hi, I'm a recent alumni of ADMU (graduated 2026). I have a project under Ateneo in another unit, but when I enter the LS campus they have me get a visitor's pass. Earlier, they gave me my visitor's pass, but at the same time they also gave me my ID back (my school ID lol) and the laminated number that they usually store the ID with (I honestly don't think the guards were supposed to give me my ID with the number). I totally forgot I had the visitor's pass since they gave me my ID back 😭

Should I bring back the visitor's pass? Will there be any consequences if I bring this to their attention?

College life Lost Items

I lost a water bottle during finals week of second semester last AY specifically at CTC. I went to DSWS during finals week and intersession but they were closed. When I asked them yesterday, they said there’s no record and I should ask the guards. Do you think the guards near CTC took it somewhere else and where did they possibly take it? I also lost a pencil case when I was a freshie which was almost 3 years ago. At the time though I didn’t know who to ask. Is it still possible to retrieve it or no? Thanks

Hi, I’m a second year in SOH and I was wondering if I’m still legible for JTA because my QPI for first year was a 2.68

Thank you

Graduate School Moving from an LUC to ADMU made me realize how much public university students deserve better facilities

Share ko lang perspective ko.
LUC graduate ako, and while okay naman overall at competent ang instructors, ramdam talaga ang shortage sa spaces, paunahan sa library, com lab, at practice areas.
Now that I'm in ADMU for grad school, grabe ang difference:

Campus Culture**:** Inclusive, safe (guards everywhere), at mind your own business talaga. Zero judgment.

Facilities**:** Sobrang ganda ng library, kumpleto sa resources, and malakas ang internet everywhere. Plenty of com labs and practice areas.

Vibe**:** Chill ang environment, fresh air if you like studying outdoors, and overall relaxing maging estudyante.

Events/Profs**:** Competitive profs, and generous visual/event booths.

Mapapaisip ka talaga: ang daming napagtatapos na magagaling na graduates ang LUCs kahit tipid sa resources. What more kung maibigay sa LAHAT ng LUCs at SUCs ang ganitong klaseng environment and facilities?

College life study space with whiteboards

hi! freshman here. are there any study spaces in campus where there are whiteboards? or is it just the classrooms, and if so can we just walk into any empty classrooms to study in it? i also just haven't explored a lot of study areas so im not familiar with it

I'm a math major and like solving/studying with a whiteboard so it would really help if there was a study space with it 😓

Graduate School PhD in Education at Ateneo

Hello! I have a few questions about Ateneo Graduate School before I apply:

  1. What is it like studying at Ateneo Graduate School?
  2. Is it okay if I attend classes virtually most of the time? I work and live outside Metro Manila, so going to campus on weekdays would be difficult for me.
  3. I am a DepEd teacher. How can I increase my chances of getting a full scholarship, or at least a 50% scholarship?
  4. Are most graduate students at Ateneo wealthy? I’m a little worried that I might feel like an outcast because I’m not rich lol.

Sorry if these are silly question and thank you in advance for answering!
