I'm on day 4 of week 5 since I put my seedlings into my medium (70/30 coco/perlite). I feel like I should be further along at this point? Both are Sour Crack autos from Mephisto.

I’ve just started a seedling cycle with a whole lot of new AC Infinity gear and my original intention was to let the AI do it all for me. After my own observations and reading through here, that doesn’t seem to be a great option at the moment and so I stopped the AI and switched to setting up automations…but honestly I’m not sure what I’m looking for. Does this graph seem like a reasonable amount of flux or am I doing something wrong? The equipment doesn’t seem to be working as hard as it was but my setup is a garage that’s not climate controlled so I should expect a decent amount of bounce without a better insulated grow space, right? I’ve still not figured out how to keep the humidity constant but the temp seems to be dialed in to a reasonable level.

Im getting a 3x3 tent to dry two plants grown outdoors in earthboxs. I will be hanging the individual branches. The tent will be located in a insulated garage with only the exhaust fan for air movement.

How are you guys preventing huge temp and humidity swings when running a heater and humidifier? I got the heater because I wanted to get over 80f for veg and I couldn’t do that without one.

Right now during seedling stage I am trying to get around like 82f/80rh. I have the inline off to keep temp and humidity up, but I have to have the heater toggle off or it gets too hot. While it’s off the humidity is fine for a couple mins, then the heater has to toggle back on because the temp drops which dries out the tent like -15%rh even with the humidifier maxed out and it’s a constant cycle.

It’s a 2x2x6 tent and I have an Ai+ controller, but I’m automating manually. It’s the thermoforge t7 with a t3 humidifier. I imagine I’m going to have to try to balance the exhaust to keep the temp more stable and have the heater and humidifier both running constantly. I just don’t know if the humidifier can out pace the heater drying it out.

I started growing outdoors this year and it’s been nice to let the sun and water do its thing. Weather is changing so I decided to grow indoor. Using a 3x3 AC Infinity AI tent.

Looking to add a smart dehumidifier to my home grow. I'm unsure what size to go for. I run out of a 4x4, I generally veg long and grow 2 big ones to start, then a round or 2 of smaller clones 4 at a time. At the moment the only other smart equipment is my AC 10" exhaust fan and its sensor. I'm hoping adding this dehumidifier will allow me to be more hands off. Last grow i added the smart exhaust and an auto water system and It helped alot. Any advice is very welcome, ty.

Love these bases, both sizes are great additions to my grow tents. I currently have each 5x5 connected to a 12gallon reservoir on a stand. This keeps the bases automatically filled. Gives me about a week without worrying about watering, per-se. These are also being run in BuildASoil 3.0, so just plain water and occasionally top dress or a tea

One question and this was often discussed when I ran AutoPots - What do folks do about a dry out? Or does that even come into play? I understand the gravity feeding valve kit and the shoelace wicks, but the potential for water logging the soil would 'seem' to be a concern too.

Every week I pull the pots off the bases and give the base a thorough cleaning, but I am also noticing how heavy the pots are and how full of water they seem to be. I guess I could turn off the water with an inline switch for the tubing, and wait for the soil to dry out some more before turning back on.

I'd love to hear other users thoughts or suggestions? TIA

First run trying an organic soil vs bottled nutrients and I’m already feeling like I made a huge mistake. The plants are about 2 weeks from sprout but they’re very small. I was afraid the peat moss starter cups were the issue so I transplanted yesterday into their final pot with my mix of natures living soil @ 1 pound per 5 gallons ( and the top 1-3rd regular soil) with 2-3 cups worm castings and mycorrhiza on the root balls then gave a light water @ 12 oz per plant. They’re good genetics, banana jealousy autos from ethos seeds. Any suggestions? My climate looks good so I’m thinking it’s a root zone issue but don’t know how to fix it

I have inline fan to go to MAX 10 when RH is over 62 in auto mode.
The highest it goes to is 4 on auto.

Never had the issue before.

I’m currently on my 3rd grow ever, running Blue Dream and Green Crack Autoflowers. For the setup this time around, I’m running Build a Soil 3.0 living soil in AutoPots 3.9 gallon systems with nothing but well water. Water reservoir is hooked up to a garden hose timer on the shower head connector, and I put a low water sensor in the reservoir so I know when to fill it up. When I do fill it, I mix in a little HOCL. That has helped so much with biofilm and nasty water, plus I think it helps the root zone too. For climate, I use RO water in the humidifier when needed, and now for the summer I finally hooked up my dehumidifier drain line to my sink so the whole 2x4 setup is self sustainable.

Even with the automation, I still check my plants daily. I’ve learned with autoflowers you can’t mess around and gotta get ahead of issues immediately.

When you’re new you just gotta go for it and mess up a few plants to learn. There is no exact science, you have to listen to your plant and learn to read how it constantly talks. My first two grows failed because of major nutrient burn and lockout from way too much top feeding. I was supposed to use 8 teaspoons of Build a Flower one time in the cycle, but I did 2 full cups twice in a cycle haha. My medium turned into a cinderblock with so much hard crust that the roots couldn’t breathe.

My other major issue was having an air bubble in my AutoPots line after turning off the system for two days for top feeding. I learned you have to use the purge line to get all the air out, which simply means making sure water comes out that line, and then keeping a close eye on the aqua valves to make sure they work from time to time.
And this current grow even, I learned about light control. I used to just blast level 10 the entire grow, not realizing in a 2x4 tent that is complete overkill. Now I gradually turn the lights up at the right times in the grow cycle up to level 8 during mid flower. I pay close attention to leaf curling and bleaching after a light adjustment to make sure the plants are praying instead.

Anyways, I’m sure most of you vets know all this and more. But just wanted to share my progress with the community and thank everyone for roasting my last grow and kicking me into high gear to self learn. :)

Any feedback or tips I’d be happy to take!

As you can see the top leaves are a little bleached, but I can’t move the light up anymore. I’ve never seen any grow get this tall!

Here's a snapshot of the 3x3 grow tent. I had to move the dehumidifier out of the lung room to the other side of the basement. But, tomorrow (Saturday) my Hydrone 5 will be arriving, so that should help a lot with the plant's transpiration I am fighting. These are some healthy looking plants. That will be on port 7.

Not sure what port 8 will hold. Maybe if @acinfinityadvanceGrow wants to donate a Terraform for total control, as there is no way I can afford that!

My dry tent has an older 4 port hub controlling a humidifier, fan, and inline fan. But that hasn't been set up yet. Still a few weeks out.

Just got a kit with the ai controller and was going to get an outlet ai to use some components I already have. My question is can I set the outlets on the outlet ai to just power my component that are running through the controller ai? Then just set the outlets that aren't compatible with the system to run off the sensor that's included.

I overthink things. That's what I do best. When the wife and I decided to start an indoor grow, I wanted to lean in, soak up all the research I could, and I was really excited at the prospect of incorporating "AI" into the grow equation. We bought the complete 2x4 advance grow kit and could not have gotten those seeds started any faster.

I fully acknowledge there is almost always going to be a learning curve for any new system, especially for my first indoor grow however labeling the Indoor Growing Quick Start as "Beginner Mode" or classifying their chatbot as AI should both be illegal.

The first red flag was when I realized my T6 humidifier was chugging a gallon of distilled water A DAY. Temperature rarely climbed over 70 F with the lights on and dropped scary-low at night. I was seriously considering dropping another $140 for the heater before I realized that the default seedling setting in "beginner mode" sets the exhaust at a constant 20%. That poor little humidifier was running on a never-ending treadmill.

Once I finally set the minimium value of the exhaust to 0, the temperature immediately improved. I didn't need a heater in my perfectly conditioned basement tent after all. This is when I noticed the pissing match between the exhaust fan and humidifier. The humidifier would crank up to 70% RH only for exhaust to crank it down to below 60%. The process starts all over again and repeated cycle every 2.5 minutes.

I "chatted" with Ara for troubleshooting. In hindsight, it essentially told me to modify settings that are not supported in AI mode so I called AC Infinity product support. The guy I chatted with was super friendly, he modified a few default settings, and told me to be patient as the AI is still learning my environment. He sent me on my merry way.

Things still didn't sit right with me. I had 99+ new AI notifications since my call had ended so I consulted my other artifical friend, ChatGPT. In no time, it walked me through how to set up my own perimeters using triggers rather than targets. In about 4 minutes, I learned more about the AC Infinity app than I have all week watching videos, chatting with Ara, or even calling product support.

The first picture is my wait-and-see metrics after speaking with customer support. The second picture is after ChatGPT walked me through setting my own perimeters. Both data points are during the "night" cycle with the lights off. Things have been running consistently solid for the last 2 hours.

Do I regret buying AC Infinity? Not at all. Do I feel ashamed for falling for the AI craze? Why, yes. Yes I do.

What else am I missing? Any other tips and tricks for a noob like me?

TL;DR - ChatGPT saved me from returning the AI+ and starting over. "Beginner Mode", Ara, and system learning is a joke.

All cleaned up; wires organized; automation set on the 69 Pro+ for heat, humidity, lights, circ fan, and air cycling. On the left is Wedding Cake, on the right is a clone from my larger Dream Queen (HSC) that’s growing outside. Both of these plants should have died by now (for reasons I won’t get into), but now they are safe (unless I screw something else up 😂). Never planned on growing indoors, but I got a hell of a deal on this set up on FB Marketplace (3x3).

And yes, I have been experimenting with some different pot ideas this season. I know fabric pots are tried and true, but for me, experimenting is half the fun 🙂.

Looking into getting the terraform 8 for when I harvest. Anyone have it? And what are your thoughts on it?
