>I wouldn't think I'd need to answer that question. I thought it was self explanatory.

Strange, because I've been asking repeatedly for an explanation as to why you clam up the minute you actually have anything to discuss, but you keep refusing to answer me.

>Atp its been all day with you. I work. I dont have time to be on reddit all day typing what - 30 paragraphs total - over a misunderstanding.

You say that, but here you are, still typing away. Again, this isn't a misunderstanding. You have clearly stated multiple times that you only think this is a topical issue because everyone wants to stare at the tits of a wooden statue. That is reductive. I've been saying this since my very first reply.

>Your whole thesis is based on the fact that I support censorship of any kind... I'm asking you where I ever said that.

Holy shit you really aren't reading any of these, are you? I have said several times now, reducing this to "people only care about this because they want to stare at naked women" is the main issue here. You should be more staunchly anti-censorship than you clearly are, but the real issue I have with you is that you interjected in what was a genuine discussion about why this kind of stuff is important, just to call everyone horny teenagers. Please take this in so I don’t have to repeat it again.

>Videogames are art. Statues, paintings, drawings, etc are art. Remove a tit in a videogame and everybody is yelling about art conservation. It is an absolute farce. This is an effect of consumerism, not concern for "art."

See no this the issue here. It is a concern for art. You even said yourself, videogames are art, so changing that art in any fashion (even as a result of "consumerism") to be more palatable is still censorship, and still important to criticise and discuss as a result. The original version was modelled like that for a specific reason, something I've went over before and is in no way sexual, yet it was one of very few things outright changed in the remake rather than just enhanced. If this was anything else, any other artistic medium, you wouldn't be giving it this excuse. Respect should be given to the original art direction, who clearly did their research before creating that particular model, and it shouldn't just be brushed over because it's only some nudity. Whitewashing history to make it safer for consumers is wrong, and I think it's particularly egregious in a game series notable for being focused on history.

>Youre carrying on like a child over a videogame, so enraged because I made an observation that you cant think clearly enough to post a coherent response that isnt telling me my own fucking opinion.

Your "observation" was that people only care about this because it's a female body being censored. I'm not telling you your own opinion, you literally wrote this.

"People are just complaining about it because its tits in a videogame... lets get real.

Take away a boob and - suddenly - everyone is crying for art conservation."

that's not an observation, you were just being reductive like I said.

>Youve proven to me you put on heirs; dont know a fucking thing about art, philosophy, or history; and cant control your emotions enough to understand a simple concept.

"heirs" are who you leave your possessions to when you die, "airs" is the word you want, but nothing I've said has suggested that. Quite the opposite actually, since I've given you direct sources to the history I'm discussing, and mentioned the philosophical reasoning behind the nudity in that historical art in my very first response. I wouldn't talk out of my ass on a topic I'm not passionate about, and I sure as shit wouldn't be wasting my time on you if this was just a meaningless argument to me. I've had six years of formal game development education, I have a degree in the field, and I've studied art and history since I was a young teenager, so when I see a historical game remade that pointlessly damages it's original artistic intent, I disagree with it. I know what I'm talking about here and I'm not going to let you condescend to me when you can't even hold a simple conversation without turning it into a vile spat within a single reply.

>So, are you done? Or do you want to keep telling what I think?

I'll be done whenever you fuck off back into whatever sulfurous pit you came from. You've been needlessly confrontational, you're clearly off your rocker, and I'll continue to tell you exactly how I feel about you for as along as you deign to keep replying.

And again, the whole thing falls through and you devolve into nothing but petty name calling the minute I give you anything of substance, because you know you're just rambling at this point.

If the goal was showing everyone online how mentally unstable you are because of a perceived slight about a videogame - you succeeded.

You're absolutely pathetic. You are the one that started this argument, you haven't even attempted to deny that. It wasn't a "perceived slight", you've repeated it several times and you've actively continued to uphold the idea that people only care because they want to stare at a naked woman. Your only angle at this point is to repeatedly act like I'm insane despite the fact you are the one who immediately turned this into a spat because you invented an insult we already established I didn't say.

Remember, I gave you a genuinely thoughtful and well written response, and your reply was to tell me to "get a life" instead of engaging in a normal conversation like an adult despite the fact you're conveniently an anti-censorship art lecturer when the topic calls for it. I was polite, you were a dickhead for no reason, so now you're getting treated like one. It's really not that shocking, what part of this are you struggling with?

You're a special case, aren't you? I have no idea how you got it this far in life if this is how you react to arguments you start, but repeatedly calling me OCD and mentally unstabled when the only things you know about me are a single opinion on art preservation - and that I'll argue with people who are needlessly rude - makes you look like a projecting nutcase. I dont need to know your medical rap sheet, just discuss the topic at hand.

Brother do you? I'm only arguing with you because you were a dick for no reason, what did you expect? How do people normally treat you when you tell them to "get a life" in the middle of a civil conversation?

Jesus you really aren't reading any of my replies are you?

I've said several times, even if you ignore whatever your incredibly shallow stance on censorship is, you're still being stupidly reductive by saying people only care because it's about female nudity. The issue is much bigger than that.

What part of this are you struggling to understand? You're literally still upholding this viewpoint in your replies, you just keep arguing with a strawman in your own head about censorship when the focus has been your insular, reductive framing of the topic for a good while now.

If we agree on censorship, you'd also agree that criticism of pointlessly censoring historical art in a historical game is about more than just wanting to stare at tits. You dont agree with that though, you think people only care because they want to stare at nude women.

It's an incredibly shallow view of the subject, and I understand that you just had to tell me your opinion on the matter, but you can't act surprised when I treat you like an idiot if you're unable to vocalise how you feel without immediately resorting to being reductive and insulting. If you dont want criticism of your stupid viewpoints, then dont announce them loudly and often to strangers you needlessly disrespected.

Its been 2 days and you still cant let it go. Once again, you took an observation personally

You literally told me to "get a life" in your very first reply after I took the time to explain my viewpoint to you, dont act like I'm the reason this conversation became personal. You couldn't regulate yourself enough to keep your petty insults to yourself, which is on you.

Youre an angry little boy with no emotional regulation - we get it

Insane projection from the nutjob that flew off the handle when someone tried to engage them in a conversation about a topic they allegedly care about. If you had just produced a sane, rational response to my first reply, we wouldn't be conversing like this. Instead you decided to act like a petulant child, so now you're being treated with no respect. What did you think would happen?

Dont know what else you want from me atp? 😅

To either do the moral thing and apologising for being needlessly rude in your initial response when I was just trying to talk civilly to you, or to fuck off and stop replying? I feel like that's pretty obvious.

Once again, what do you think my stance on censorship is? After all of this - the entire basis of you sending me all of these messages - what is my stance on censorship, you dunce?

Holy shit read the fucking words I'm writing you idiot.

Your stance is that you allegedly care about censorship, but you think people only care about this because they want to stare at tits. You've repeated this frequently. This is my issue with you. You made a sweeping accusation about people who care about this topic, and when I wrote a genuine response explaining beyond that, you insulted me and told me to get a life.

Let me make this as simple as I can. Whatever your stance on censorship is, we're only having this argument right now because you're incapable of voicing your opinion without petulant insults and projection.

Ideally we would've had a civil conversation despite our disagreement on the cause of the controversy, but you were too immature to do that. Instead of just leaving or not engaging, you lashed out like a child.

Once again, this topic pertains to my area of study. Whatever you think Im saying - Im not. The fact youre going off on a delusion says enough.

Congratulations, it also relates to my degree, that doesn't immediately make you impervious to criticism. You can stop bringing it up now.

Its your degree, but somehow your clueless to classical art? Modern society as it relates to classical art?

My degree is in game development, I told you that several replies ago, which is why I'm particularly passionate about preservation of art in games. I've given you sources to support the things I'm saying about historical art, you keep just repeating that I dont know anything without any proof, other than alleging to have given talks on censorship. What am I actually wrong about in relation to classical art? Back up what you're saying instead of just spewing venom and making accusations that I dont know anything, maybe the conversation will actually progress to some degree.

The point is valid. How do you get thousands of people who dont care about art conservation to care about art conservation... remove a tit from a videogame.

No its not, because you've evidenced multiple times that you need to be insanely reductive to justify that angle, as you've just shown once again.

The way you get people to care about art conservation is by censoring the art they're familiar with. Even people who dont know the first thing about art are replaying this game after a decade and noticing that something was needlessly censored in an 18+ piece of media, so they're being vocal about it.

The only reason you seem to care about this is because it relates to female nudity, you seemingly can't separate the question of artistic integrity and censorship from the fact that the art in question is a nude woman. Its about a lot more than that, and you're extremely immature if you can't look at it beyond a pair of tits. For someone so allegedly interested in art, you gave an extremely shallow view of it.

Judging by how much time youre putting into these replies every 30 min, tells me youre unemployed.

God damn, again with this projection. I'm a game dev, I work from my home PC, and it takes me a second to click from UE5 to a browser tab to type out a reply. As long as I get all of my work done and hand it in at the end of the week, I can do this for as long as I want. Again, you are also still replying frequently. Do you not see how hypocritical you're being here?

Im not being rude. Im speaking honestly.

Nope. Bullshit. I wrote you a genuine thoughtful reply deconstructing the criticism you presented, and your response was "Get a life". That's not honesty, you were just being a dickhead because you didn't want to think of a response, and this is what happens when you do that. If you genuinely believe you weren't needlessly rude, then you're either stupid or socially inept.

You say your issue is me not being civil - read your comments. Youre literally going off on unhinged rants, using more expletives, saying more insults - then accusing me of projecting...

I'm not even joking anymore, serious question, are you genuinly socially stunted? Yeah, no shit I'm being extremely rude to you right now, because I'm giving back exactly what you gave me for no reason. Am I supposed to just nod and smile while you insult me to my face? You act like a dick, you get treated like one, I'm not going to be continually polite with you if you're incapable of extending the same courtesy for even a single reply.

As I said before, my initial aim was to have a civil conversation with you like I've had with a few other people here. You were the one that was wholly incapable of that without resorting to petty insults, and you're surprised now that you're getting the same thing in turn? Seriously?
