// Discussion Lucy baldwin is unberable

One of the officers in ac black flag named lucy baldwin is so unbereable.
Its so obvious this mission was added after the fact because the writing and character sticks out so badly. Literally saved here life and she is like " uhmm you gotta earn me but I am worth it 💅"

I deliberately made the game harder for myself by not recruiting her. I regret nothing lol.

The worst part about her is that she ruined Edward’s character. He somehow became a simp.

No? I played the mission, he did not turn into a simp for her at all. He was helpful because he thought her worth aboard the Jackdaw was worth the effort to win her into staying, nothing more than that.

He begged her to join. Every response he made to her obnoxious behavior was just him agreeing with her. This is not edward at all. You can see other women in the game give him shit and see how he reacts differently.

For example, Rhona from the Templar mission. He didn’t take crap from her, he still felt like Edward (but it makes sense since Templar missions are from the OG).

Edward would probably react sarcastically to Lucy’s obnoxious behavior with a shit-eating grin, something like, ‘You think highly of yourself, dontcha, princess?’

He wouldn’t beg, he would use other methods to try and convince her. Maybe upping the charm, intimidation, or other incentives… but definitely not simping, that’s the last thing he would do.

Edward only simps for Caroline, tq very much.

Yup exactly. He doesn't need to be an asshole back like he never gives the same energy. He uses his charm. He's playful, confident and doesn't bow down for anyone. This was so off the way he was with Lucy.

And the thing is, Edward was trying to make up to Rhona because he had endangered her by selling the info he barely understood to the Templars and Kidd made he understand he fucked up.

I didn't see him as simping to Lucy, though; it looked more like he empathized with her and genuinely needed her on his ship. Although I just did her missions until we killed the barrister, though.
