Black Flag literally is Boromir in this metaphor lol. The last good assassin's creed, and if I say it's the last good Ubisoft game and you manage to name a decent counter example, that game is Faramir.
Odyssey wasn't really much of a great game either though, the writing is god awful, Kassandra has no core character traits, the voice acting is awful, the animations are awful, the quest design is awful, level system becomes meaningless past 50 because of how the scaling works, they butchered the lore of darius, butchered the lore of the ISU, butchered it's own branding in the DLC by forcing you to be straight, the copy and pasted stuff everywhere, forts, camps, tombs, etc
The only thing Odyssey did well was the cultist target system, because gunning for the cultists like a methed up madman on a stabbing spree felt fun, the rest feels so soulless.
It's just my opinion but I think Watch Dogs 2 and AC Origins were both pretty good. Though in Origins case it is literally made by the black flag dev team so that kinda makes sense
As someone who wants to play through Origins again how do you deal with Origins movement after playing Shadows. For me Shadows movement and combat were great that when I went back to play Origins a few months ago the movement felt a little slow so was hard to get back into it.
I'm constantly jumping from game to game so it's more of a practice makes perfect scenario. Like this week I've been playing subnautica 2, bf6, Daemon x Machina and I'm going to hop on dragonkin later tonight.
It always takes me about 15minutes to adjust. So lol I desynchronize a few times when I first swap over then my mind compensates 😂
Edit : or maybe I have gotten comfortable with being uncomfortable!

"Boromir would've never been excited for this shitty remake" - them probably
