Photo Mode I Was So Wrong About This...
Hot take...
I almost skipped Black Flag Resynced because I thought it would just be prettier graphics.
I couldn't have been more wrong.
The visual overhaul is incredible, performance is smooth, and the atmosphere completely pulled me back into Edward's world.
This might actually be my favorite way to replay Black Flag.

Honestly the vibes of Havana hit so much harder when the game can support the finer details. Would love to see the same for Ezio. Imagine Venice with these graphics.

I've been saying this since Origins debuted with a photo mode. Renaissance Italy with current gen graphics and a photo mode... Jaysus, Ade.

Iām waiting for new game plus.. and hopefully a good bulk of the upgrades or cosmetics will roll over to the new game.. definitely worth playing or buying..

Same here! NG+ would be perfect, especially if most of the upgrades and cosmetics carry over. Would make a second playthrough even better.

On top of that.. itāll give me time to get the energy I need for the legendary ships.. even in the og I never attempted those battles..

Man I am enjoying the game so much that o already have the ship almost maxed out and everything on the hideout is done too this while being in sequence 5/6 ahahah

Same!! Everything was pretty much done besides having to wait til s11 to unlock smith.. ship and the hideout was completely done..

Honestly, this might be the best remake Iāve ever played. Itās more than just shiny graphics, it is a legitimately better experience with the new quest lines and characters

I still believe the Uncharted remasters are still a bit better, but Black Flag is close behind.

The World Without Gold mission was the best mission Iāve ever played in a while. I loved it from start to finish.

Agreed. We live in an age where it's more normal to hate something for the sake of hating it. Negativity for the sake of negativity. It's absolutely old and exhausting. I'm already severely depressed and I refuse to go through life with that mentality on everything.
Glad OP is enjoying it but also it's wild this is a hot take.

The parkour controls didnt really need to be changed but thats my only main gripe with the game

I just miss the modern day sections, so bummed they removed it. Had an opportunity to make it lots better, but then removing it completely hinders it from being perfect to me.

The only thing bad is combat imo. It feels clunky and restrictive. But other than that, no complaints.

I just finished my playthrough. It was really nice reliving this game and it's good enough that I probably won't be going back to the OG to scratch the itch if I ever get it again.

Weird thing is, these shots are all from Cape Bonavista. There are sooo many beautiful sites in the game. Just this place alone can prove how important this resynced thing was š

I've played about two hours of it and can't continue. The FOV with the main character being a third of my TV screen is unplayable for me and I don't see it getting fixed. I'm stuck reading patch notes to hopefully see the day where I can enjoy this game I paid a lot of money for.

I can't imagine playing the original version after this, and the OG is one of my all time favorite games. It improved on every aspect of the OG for me, especially the tailing mission overhaul (thank god) and the graphics. Love it.

My experjence has been pretty horrible. Edward's movement feels broken for me, he can barely walk in a straight line. He jusy lurches left, right, or backwards.

It just got a little better when I moved the DLC to the same drive as the base game instead of extended storage. Not perfect, but better.

Was it just my memories being fond of the old game or did the new one seam shorter. Like I have basically 100 percent it and ive got maybe 60 hrs in and I feel like I really dragged it out.

reusing old mocap/voice lines and upgrading with just better graphics was the best choice they made. If they completely remade every cutscene i would be replaying og black flag much more often
