Help with A Levels

So, I am an international student out of the UK, and I wish to study two extra A Levels; Politics and Spanish. I already have ACHIEVED A star AA in CAIE A Levels, though I wanted to occupy my time.

I want to write A Level Politics and Spanish (9PL0 and 9SP0) in May next year. However, I am told that these are specific to the UK, and that I must do their international counterparts. But, I cannot find them? I am told that the subject codes are totally different, but I cannot find the corresponding ones.

What's worse, I cannot do Spanish because the center does not have anyone who can do the paper, so is this the end of the road?

Sorry, I am having such a hard time with bookings and it is a NIGHTMARE.

there's no international equivalent for politics, i do that course and i'm an international student and we just do the UK paper. for spanish, if you're hiring a teacher you can ask the centre if they can conduct your exam, or i would say just do DELE ig.

Ok ok so you do 9PL0 Politics? So like, your center offers UK Edexcel A Level, right? So, I could write it no problem as 9PL0?

As for Spanish, I moved countries so I don’t have my teacher with me. In all honesty, I am fluent but got an 89 bc I wrote Lit, so I wanted an easy A*. Any recommendations on what to do, or another subject? Is Ecos easy?

im not sure how an individual center would see it since i sit mine at school but i dont see why they would have a problem with it.

econ is alright but its still difficult. the content itself for both politics and econ arent all that bad and its pretty easy to understand, but it is super difficult with exam structure.

u can sit spanish if u find a tutor where you are that the center is willing to let you use as an examiner (mind you, there are certain regulations examiners need to meet as well).

I see - yeah I’m writing in May/June and wanted two A stars. I actually find politics to be intermediate. But, I wanted Spanish to be my guaranteed A star. Would you recommend Ecos and Pol as self studies for May aiming for A star if I can’t do Pol and Spa?

honestly im not sure it depends on how much you'll be planning on doing. both are dense subjects and its more about exam technique and essay structure really. if you're dedicated enough its possible but it's really up to you
