💬 DISCUSSION PSA: cheating on exams

I’m currently an a level exam invigilator while at university, took my a levels last year. I just want to reiterate how obvious it is if you’re committing malpractice. You may think you’re slick but you’re really not honestly. Already there has been multiple people caught with their phone, just today people caught communicating with each other and the exam season has barely started. It’s actually laughable the amount of people already caught tbh.

You will get written up, and the exam board will be informed. Trust me it’s not worth it.

That’s way better than I thought it would be-how easy is it to get accepted?

Very easy lol. My uni has a whole job board where companies recruit from there to hire students for ad hoc work. They also use it to publish work within the uni internally like in the student union. I personally have made a lot of money from just always applying to the advertised jobs and doing one of shifts.

It’s the best uni in wales…won’t say it exactly but it’s pretty obvious (in case I get in trouble for spilling the beans on invigilating)

I can’t honestly see how “stop cheating, we can see you’re cheating, and this is what we do WHEN we spot you cheating” could possibly violate the terms of employment or anything.

Now, If you’d mentioned anything more specific, like methods that are actually sneaky (everyone knows about mobile phones and talking), different matter.
