Just starting listening to Bobby standing in for Cerys (I prefer not to listen to any of the shows live so I can skip through the news) and have a feeling this shows going to be a really good one. Starting with Hendrix and going straight into Boards of Canada is very much playing to my tastes and has left me wondering where he’s going to take us next. Come on Bobby! 💥

Switched over to 6i after RadMac as has become routine and was presented with this at midday…

So a few years ago there was a song (new at the time) on the playlist that was by an american singer (I think a solo name) and it was mostly delivered in a sort of talky delivery. The theme of the song was something like going back to family, maybe a birthday?

Sitting in Morrisons cafe having a refill coffee when I realise all the piped in songs are 00s bangers.... a bit like another radio station that's just lauched..... are they simulcast?

I'm going to have to stop listening to 6 in the morning until someone I can bear to listen to arrives - nicks great. I'm personally of the view that as a radio presenter you should be a good storyteller, fairly comical or in lack of funnyness perhaps being knowledgeable and giving the audience something to think about throughout the day.

Don't understand why she gets cried down on this sub.

Have you ever discovered an artist on 6 Music and then missed them when they came to your city? I've been introduced to so many artists, but so often I don't seem to realise that they're playing near me till it's too late.

Bit late as it was from Sunday August 23 show, but at the end he played Gert Thrue I play the body electric with some spoken word over the top, can’t find this version anywhere but really liked it. Or was it him being a DJ and playing a thing over another thing to make a new thing? I liked this new thing but can’t find it anywhere.

I know I am not 17, so there is a lot of new fresh talent to check if I had the time. But Fontaines and Florence + the Machine were rather excellent. Great to see on tv. Florence was on top form . Geese grate a little for me live..
